By the second song, I had concluded, that this was the most outstanding show I had ever seen. Rock, pop or any style of music for that matter. This is a band that transcends styles, and even tastes. IE: even if you don't care for, or are not familier with their music. I assure you, the show itself is a specticle to see. Not in a pseudo/contrived (what can we do to be outrageous?) way. But, in an honest creative way, that exudes a natural perpensity for showmanship. Another thing that struck me, was how receptive, appreciative and outright gracious Mushroomhead was to its audience. And the cost of the ticket (a mere $15.00) is proof they are not in it, solely for the money. Not a fan? spend fiteen bucks, and you will be. The following day someone told me that Mushroomhead is a poormans Slipknot. (Just to clarify) No, Mushroomhead precede Slipknot by two years. Slipknot is merely a dereliction of Mushroomhead. Slipknot, is like Mushroomhead, minus the talent, creativity and any original ideas. Slipknot members contiuous claims, that they were unaware of Mushroomheads existance, when Slipknot was in its infancy, is an insult to my intelligence, and an afront creativity in gereral. Only an idiot, would pay $50.00 to see Slipknot in an arena, when you can see the band that they stripped, mutilated and pillaged (creatively) for a fraction of the cost, in an intimate setting.
