I don't know that I will ever be impressed by any other concert after seeing Sigur Ros. My husband and I agree that they set the bar high for any other performers we see in the future.

My 4th time to see SR over the last 8 years or so, and, as always, an incredibly amazing show; beautiful, ethereal, creative, emotional, haunting, inspiring...everything that is SR and in my own "backyard" this time. The sound/lighting/video were honed to perfection. I can't wait to see them again.

Have been a fan of Sigur Ros for many years, and this was the first time I had heard of them coming to the US in years- I wasn't able to get tickets for when they were in Berkeley a few years ago :(- so when I heard they were going to be playing in SF, knew I had to go.

The venue was crowded when we got there, my friend and I people watched and talked, and eagerly went inside the not so crowded ground floor for the opener, Oneohtrix Point Never. As he started his setlist, more and more people started to enter the venue, and by the time his entrancing songs and beats were over, the room was Packed. I personally have never seen an auditorium/venue so full of people. The energy in the room was a mix of hyper, very calm, and a sense of urgent anticipation. The lights dimmed, then slowly came on-and within moments Sigur Ros was on.

The whole night was like a massive incredible musical high. It is going to take me a while to fully process everything that I saw and heard-I mean that in a good way! Jonsi's voice was ethereal and full of such intense raw emotion. The strings and brass were lovely, and the entire band and ensemble as a whole was so connected and in sync.

They ended with an encore of Golsoli, followed by Untitled 8. I can't think of a more fitting ending than those pieces. My friend and I were moved to tears at least 5 times throughout the night-the music was that powerful.

I can't really remember much of the end, other than that it was an incredibly intense, emotional, and very euphoric point in time. The mixture of sound, lights, visuals, everyone was in their own little world of music, yet we were all connected....it was incredible...almost like a religious experience

Some old favorites and some awesome new pieces. His voice is incredible and dont know how he can hold a note so long and powerfully! Totally pissed about the seating though because it was open seating and we didnt know so we got there right on time and were stuck behind pillars. What is the point of issuing tickets with seat numbers if you dont actually get those seats? I was mad but luckily (for me) the music saved the day. I probably wont go to the Bill Graham center again though.

Sound was fine, but the auditorium was so big it felt like I was at an arena, and Sigur Ros doesn't talk during it's concerts so the show was only average. Great band, though. You should listen to all their albums.

SIGUR ROS IS UNBELIEVABLE. Venue was cool - they're better outdoors but could do some cool things inside. Bill Graham Civic Center has a great setup with the whole sit anywhere thing and the crowd was very into it and very open and cool - no pushing/shoving. SPECTACULAR lighting/video - and JONSI owned it up there.

They put the best show on I've ever seen! The show was visually stimulating and like the sound of the Divine to my ears. This band is so unique and creative in their own right.

Sigur Ros was as amazing as expected, the lights and visuals were very impressive, added a lot to the experience. We got a good seat in the balcony and had a perfect view. They let the line in early which was really nice; I wasn't looking forward to waiting in line for an hour and a half, but they let us in only 15 min after we arrived ( about and hour before the opening act) I give it four stars because the opening act was really awful; really I have honestly never heard a worse opening act in all of the shows I have ever seen. I don't remember his name, but he was some techno artist and he was just a mess... the music had no structure or flow whatsoever and some of it actually hurt my ears; just really bad - couldn't they have found someone with more talent for such an important show (Sigur Ros comes to cali very rarely and I had been looking forward to seeing them live since I bought my first album in 2001!). The volume was extremely loud and my ears felt like they were bleeding by the time Sigur Ros reached their finale, but overall it was a good time! Great venue aside from the drink prices ($10 for a beer, really?!)...

How was good, as good as SR could be. I did not particularly like the venue, but it did not sound bad at all. Opening act was not good, and at one point I did not realize he stopped playing and it was a recording.

The music lacked newer material, but understandably so.

Great show, horrible parking situation. We had to park a half- hour walk away from the venue and missed the first 30 minutes of the show.
Awesome bands with a so- so venue.

The venue was great. Seats were a bit cramped but our neighbors were all outstanding like all Santa Barbara Bowl events I have attended.

They arrived on stage with a veil covering the entire squire of artists. Deranged shadows and enlarged portraits of each member led to a very memorable yet trippy experience. Members appeared as demonic monoliths with outfits eschewed with bones and draping hair.

When the veil dropped, Sigur Ros revealed themselves. It was about the fourth or fifth song before the smoke filled drapery finally dropped. People were dumbfounded. Great bass and pounding guitars filled the air as people broke out their "medical prescriptions". Things turned from a whirling air of obscurity to full blown whistling as the band revealed themselves in a glorious manner.

The show continued with their hits as expected, mainly focusing on their new work as any touring artist would. They played their most fawned upon songs with some real surprises along the road. The air was silent during Svefn-G-Englar, which soon erupted into applause after an everlasting build that turned naysayers speechless.

Beer was expensive, crowd was great, cash only is a bummer for those unfamiliar with the venue. Sigur Ros is great but be prepared. Their messages come across as demonic but are purely angelic in nature. The vocals are an extension as another instrument.

Highly recommended! Bring a friend and something to stimulate your mind as beer is just it enough. If you are in the right mindstate, this group of musicians will blow you away. Prepare to be moved!

If you like their music at all, you will be entranced by the live show that Sigur Ros puts on. I literally can recommend no concert as highly as the one they give.
If you have a chance to see them, RUN, don't walk to get tickets. You won't be disappointed.
