The venue was elegant yet casual. The orchestra and conductor's performance were second to none. The Ramero s; well its the Ramero s enough said.

This was an outstanding show with the masters of classical guitar, The Romeros. The Concierto Málaga String Orchestra accompanied them and were fabulous. The program was very popular, including Christmas carols, with nothing too deep. Highly recommended for everyone.

This group plays the classical guitar like no one else in this world. Their music takes you to another place. Beautiful, breathtaking and peaceful.

This was not at all what we had expected. The orchestra was not very good. Maybe they were suffering from jet lag? Much of the program was simple christmas pieces that really didn't show the Romeros mastery of the guitar. There were a number of times when both the Romeros and the Orchestra played that the guitars were completely drowned out. If they are not going to mike up the guitars, they need to get the orchestra volume under control.

The Romeros were brilliant as ever as Celedonio Romero's legendary legacy lives on! Impeccible and breathtaking guitar playing of all the favorite Spanish - Classical greats. Heartfelt and personable stage presences made the experience even better. No one does it like the Romeros - a must see and listen.

The newest 'incarnation' of Los Romeros lives up to the standard set by the original four members (two of whom are still playing - Pepe and Celin). The substitution of Lito and Celino for Celedonio and Angel has brought new life and sparkle, while preserving the traditions and musicality.
The only complaint was the lack of a written program. On the other hand, it appears that the group was 'making it up on the fly' and deciding which piece to play when, so having no written 'menu' as Lito called it (he says he is always hungry) gave them, perhaps, more flexibility to go with the moment.
And what moments those were! Bravo!

The music was amazing (especially Pepe) and the stage patter was amusing. Hard to beat for a superb evening of Spanish guitar (mostly classical with some flamenco). There was no printed program though which would have been nice.

We got to sit right in front of them 1st row center and my date (my father) was in heaven. Every piece was something he knew and loved. He commented later that while he had heard many of the sounds made (like the tapping on the guitar - drumming) but could not have imagined what it looked like to see them do it.
The Romeros are a tight group - 2 sets of father and son - and communicate their love of music, their passion for the guitar, their superb skills, and their love for each other.
All of those things made fabulous music even more beautiful. We will be back with all our friends next time they come and I hope they come back soon.
