From the opening drop of the puck, the Stingrays controlled the game. Although there was a game misconduct for a Stingray player, generally the game was free of stupid penalties and especially, free from fighting. You can always tell the ignoramuses of hockey who scream for a fight when two players square off but the refs get to them in time and skate them away to cool off without a penalty. The ignoramuses boo and yell for a fight, not realizing that you can lose your most valuable players that way. All too many here in Charleston are in the ignoramus category, because, even after 20 years, they still don't understand hockey.
The only negative thing I can say is that I did not realize 2 things. First was that I am pretty badly handicapped, but despise the handicapped seating. So I try to get seats on the blue line. I never before got the seats we had Saturday. They were down behind the Stingray players box. And I mean DOWN. It was virtually impossible to see the plays deep in the zones. I won't make that mistake again. Second, I had no idea how far it was down to the seats for a handicapped person. Down wasn't too bad. Up, I thought I was going to die before I got to the top.

Favorite moment: One of the assistant coaches gave one of my grandsons a broken hockey stick! He is thrilled! @
