Favorite moment: The encore song, which was just Phil on the piano and harmonica singing Billy Joel's Pianoman as a sing-along with the audience. Excellent! @
Setlist: Carline, American Child, Little Red Rodeo, My Next 30 Years, I'm All Right, Hot Tub, and several more I can't think of right now. @
Opening act(s): None @
Phil is a great songwriter, vocalist and piano player. He always has an excellent band including his bassist Jeff (they grew up together in Lynchburg, VA). This is Phil's home state so he had several friends in the audience. He spoke about very local parts of his life. Phil is happy and upbeat, and grateful for those who enjoy his music. He is a very high energy performer, very engaging with the audience, and is an extrovert that loves to perform and share his music. I was a little disappointed Phil didn't jump up on top of the piano as I've seen him do in previous performances, but he was playing a smaller electronic keyboard, not a Baby Grand! :) Go see Phil if you get the chance - you will enjoy the evening!
