Politically Incorrect Fun

This was my first time seeing John Valby. I first heard him on a bootleg tape over twenty years ago. I knew he was filthy and there's not one word in the english language that he's afraid to use, and that includes the "c" word and the "n" word. For someone like me who is unoffendable and who understands that the act is all in fun and not designed to offend but to celebrate that here in America we have free speech whose limits should always be flirted with, the show was pure fun in the risque style of early 1900's vaudeville. The audience was half the fun. He has a cult following and there are some very uninhibited women who were not afraid to get up on stage and flash their boobs. I can't wait to go again!

I have seen Valby many, many times over the years, and even at 65, he is as good and entertaining as he was when he was in his 30's. Two great sets, mixing political and sexual parody songs. His interaction with the fans is always fantastic, whether during the show, or during the intermission where I got a chance to talk to him and request a couple of songs (that he sang in the second part of the show).

A great show. Can't wait for him to come around again. Not a show for those without a good sense of humor and for those easily offended.

My parents saw him on their first date 36 years ago so for christmas i bought them tickets to go see him again. I grew up hearing his tapes and I absolutly loved the show. Everyone had a great time and we look foward to going again.

Opening act was funnier. It appears you either love him or hate him. It is evident he has a following because most of the crowd already knew his material and would sing along with him. I had been waiting along time to see him. I first heard a tape of his back in the 80's and thought it was funny. Now that I saw him was disappointed.

I got these tickets as a gift for my brother, a long time fan! Not only did he love the show as I knew he would, but our whole group enjoyed the time! If anyone remotely likes any of his stuff, a show in person is 10x better!

Went as part of my cousin's bachelor party, and it couldn't have been better.
Valby clearly has years of experience working the crowd -- and he wasn't afraid to tell the sound and lights guys adjust levels for maximum enjoyment ("can you turn these lights off back here -- they f*** with these guys in the front row")

Be prepared for an extremely dirty show -- he'll make fun of everything and everyone, so don't bring your mother.

I would definitely see this again, and would bring everyone (except my mother)

Croc. rock cafe was great too -- a dive, but in a good way. Don't expect doilies and teacups, but at least the floors aren't (too) sticky. Really though, a perfect venue for this kind of show.

Valby played old favorites and new topical songs. The fans were friendly. The Altar Bar is an amazing venue! There aren't many seats, but it is roomy and the stage is easy to see. The staff was excellent. We are looking forward to returning!

John valby has a great musical and audience participation show. If you get into his humor a little bit I reccomend you go see a show if he comes around. It's clearly adult humor and not for the squeamish or easily offended. Prior to the show and at every chance, he meets as much of his audience as possible. I was able to talk to him for a few minutes as well as get a couple autographed CD's. Great guy and even better show

PPP went on @ 8:15 PM, followed by Otto & George & then Dr. Dirty. Otto & George were GREAT, as always but Dr. Dirty was done @ 9:40PM.

Considering the cost of Premium seats, and the exorbitant "convenience charge" of $7.25 each & "building charge" of $1.00 each, 2 tickests for a 1 & 1/2 hr. show of 3 comedians was disappointing!

Have seen Otto & George several times before and always had 30-35 minutes of hilarious material. Show seemed "rushed"!

Premium seating "SUCKS"! Too many people stuffed into cramped space!

At least the place is finally A/C'd though.

These 3 were great for a fun night out! Otto & George were freakin hilarious. John Valby gets everyone goin with his out going musical wit. Its definately better live. As dirty as you want it to be. I laughed from start to finish. Dont miss out on this show! I would go again & again!

the weekest part of the whole show was otto and George you could watch his lips move with mouth open the whole show , not that he wasn't funny .
And Paul Parsons wasn't bad but had to use his notes the whole time he was up there.
John Valby was just as funny as always He puts on a good show. but the whole show could have been just him!!
The over all length of the show to me was short it started late about 8;15 and was done by 9:40 at best
my biggest problem was way to crowded ever row of seats should have had at least 2 chairs taken out on each side instead of 16 go with 12 didn't need to know weather the guy next to me showered or not!! My set had 12 good size guys and 4 ladies

Girlfriend talked me into going! Really enjoyed the show. JV is very talented. His original creations and the songs he has "twisted" are gut-busting funny. John gets the crowd involved (my girlfriend included!). If you like musical comedy that's rated R, then you need to see this show.
