Although I didn't get too lucky with all the songs they played, Dark Star still played the songs ridiculously well with a lot of energy and good vibes that the crowd was eating up. Even if you're not a Dead Head you'd enjoy the show because of the atmosphere, people, and of course music. Can't forget Tea Leaf Green either, awesome opening!

This is my second time seeing a Dead cover band and the first time I've been to a purely Dead show. I now understand why people say that Grateful Dead needs to be heard live in order to be fully appreciated. Songs evolved as they progressed and they seemed to stay in touch with the vibe of the audience. I had some great seats with plenty of dancing room and the only annoyance was the security guard working to keep people out of the aisles. He was just doing his job however, and could not detract from the evening. That night was an experience worth remembering.

Venue was great and the staff was friendly. The band rocked and had a lot of fun with the crowd. I will definitely see them again.

They put on a great show, and just like the Dead the Deadheads were half the fun. Like being transported back in time. Sound and lighting were just as original and only slightly less purple haze.

These guys always blow my mind. I can't count how many times I've seen them, or in how many different venues, but I have NEVER been disappointed. Seriously, if these guys are in town go see 'em. Even if you aren't big into the Dead, just grab someone you love, and prepare for a fantastic evening. And if you happen to be near the NE Seacoast, these guys do a show at the Hampton Casino Ballroom once a year, and It's the best venue I've ever been to. Don't miss it.

This band is dripping with phenomenal talent. Fantastic sound. If you love live Dead you need to see this band. But if you are not a fan of the Dead after 1980 ( and why would you be?) you run the risk of getting a set list bereft of timeless,incredible, classic, legendary, emotional, moving songs. Last night, for example, including songs I never needed to hear again including Standing on the moon, Sunrise, Lets spend the night together, Lost sailor, Saint of circumstance, Run for the roses, Unbroken chain, and something called Let it rock. Would not have paid for that list. Would have hoped for something akin to Wharf rat, Eyes of the world, jack straw, Scarlet Begonias, Fire on the mountain, Estimated prophet, Stella Blue, Wheel, St Stephen, Morning Dew, Friend of the Devil, I could go on forever with their timeless masterpieces.

Could hardly hear a melody, much less lyrics, because everything was just overwhelmingly loud and screechy. Insult to Grateful Dead, who were wonderful melodious musicians.
