Ok, the bottom line was that it was a laugh a minute! It was the best stress reliever for the soul that I could recommend to anyone down on their spirits right now. Sacrafice the bucks and check it out! Wonderful crowd... Arnez J, DL, all of the comedians brought their "A" game!!

It was funny! D.L came on and of course he was totally funny. The other comedians wer just as funny also. However, the show went too fast.

The event was so funny, but the best part was Red Grant!!! Red has the most down to earth way of presenting himself and making the crowd feel comfortable.

The show was excellent. I laughed almost non-stop. My face and belly were sore when I left. Everyone did a wonderful job; from the host to the Dj. I only wish that DL could have stayed on longer.

I attended the 11/21/09 show at 8pm & truthfully I was disappointed in DL's performance! Since his material wasn't new it wasn't as funny to me & I would hesitate to pay to see him again..
NOW Red Grant , Luenell, & Arnez J were HILARIOUS!!! I really enjoyed them & would pay to see THEM again..

The show did not live up to my expectations. First off, the seating was awful. I ordered my tickets just after I received the advertisment about the show, a full six months ago. We were seated about six rows back and in a very tight corner next to a heating vent. The couple next to us also complained that they ordered their tickets well in advance and expected better seating. There was no table at our seats, unlike all of the other seats.
The opening act was fair but the jokes were very juvenile and quite insulting. D.L. put on a better act but spent too much time chatting with the audience and trying to make a joke out of each person's occupation. It did not go over well.

You can always count on DL to entertain you but I saw him 3 years ago and I think he's reprised some of his old jokes from then. I was a bit disappointed in that but overall, it was hilarious. He's still funny. Malik, his opening act, stole the show though! He was just very natural and un-rehearsed it seemed. He went with the traffic and flow of the audience. I was dying when he was clowning the old lady who came in late.

I enjoyed the setting. I went with my sister and we were at a table with a couple from Cambridge who were just married in April. The audience was so diversed and it was so nice to come together and laugh. The comedien that came on before D.L. Hughley was so funny!! He was a great choice. He made everyone laugh because he was down to earth like D.L. Great show!

Tonight was my first time at the Wilbur Theatre since the Comedy Connection moved out of Faneuil Hall, however NOT my 1st time seeing D.L. Hughley. I have seen him about 10 times live and he NEVER dissappoints the crowd. Now I see why he is one of the Kings of comedy. His stand up is always different and he always tries to keep up with the most recent news events. Some of his material is old, I mean he tends to bring up some of his classic stuff, but all in all, you will never see or hear the same stuff twice. He takes time out to chat with this audience and the laughs are non-stop...there is never a lull in the entertainment. D.L. truly is a comedic genius and if you ever have the chance to see him...do yourself a favor...get tickets.

It was surreal to think that I was seeing a "king of comedy" live and he turn out to be as funny as I'd seen him be on tv. My husband and I had a blast and being that my husband is a fan of his it exceeded his expectations!!! He kept the audience going the whole time, only a truly gifted comedian would be able to pull that off, and at the same time laugh at his own stuff!! The experience was great, and I would definately look forward to seeing this funny man again!! The comedian who opened up was hiliarious and got the night started off right before D.L. got on and he finished it off with a bang!!
