This was my family's first time at a sports event. I purchased the "Family Pack" deal which included 4 tickets, 4 Cineplex movie passes, and a "voucher" for 4 hotdogs and sodas for $22 at the Arena concessions. The wife and kids are avid Vancouver Canucks fans and were extremely excited to go to this. We decided to take public transportation to Rogers Arena to avoid the rush hour traffic in Vancouver and parking fees. One bus ride and two Skytrain rides and we were within walking distance of the Arena. It costs us total $8.50 each way because it was a weekend and we had two children. Not bad, considering we probably would've spent more than that in parking alone plus fuel. Besides, my kids are young 5 and 9 and actually enjoy taking the bus and Skytrain!
It was a great game and went into Overtime with the Canucks winning. The seats we got were in Section 318 which were up higher but not too bad. I would have liked to have been close but it's just too expensive and the event was almost sold out when we purchased the tickets. The view was good and everyone enjoyed themselves.
