This was my first trip to San Jose,and first time in a hockey arena other than the Honda Center (Ducks fan).Let me begin by saying;the gorgeous arena,located just a few dozen yards from where I got off the train,provides great sight of the action even from near the top.The fans were passionate,displayed so much knowledge and love of the game,and helped give that particular game a playoff atmosphere,even though it was in November,just a month into the season.They do so many things in tune with the team (playing 'Jaws Theme',the fans making shark chomping gestures on the PP,the SUPER cool way the team skates onto the ice through this cool shark mouth,the arena nickname 'The Shark Tank'),I just love the way they keep up that theme.One minor complaint,although I don't blame them;I don't think programs were free,which Honda Center does,but I guess since San Jose actually cares about hockey,unlike Anaheim,it makes sense.Overall,the Shark Tank puts Honda Center and Duck fans to shame.

The seats were awesome!! Being right on top of the action and getting the feel of just how much pain is inflicted by players was incredible. Like I said, this was the 1st time I had seen a Sharks game in person, even though I do watch them on TV, it is just like baseball to me,"You can't beat fun at the old ballpark" but in this case at the Shark tank. All the excitement and fun despite my buddy who was supposed to go with me to the game, had to cancell out at the last minute because his daughter was hit by a car and was seriously injured but survived. I will probably, or should I say, I will go to another Sharks game in the not too distant future. Tough loss but next time!! GO SHARKS!!

Location: San Jose

Sharks games are always amazing whether you like hockey or not. There's an energy from the crowd that you can't help but to be drawn into. Breaks seem to fly by with fun activities but still with plenty of time to get snacks. Sharky is one of the greatest mascots and continues to keep the crowd going til the very end.

Excellent atmosphere! Like always the tank was loud supporting the SHARKS!! Enjoyed watching the sharks beat the Pens 5-0. Plus got a free pizza since the sharks scored more than 4 goals. Woooohoo! Nabby stood on his head for another shutout.

The San Jose Sharks have built a team to win the Stanley Cup, thus creating an exciting product to watch on the ice. There's a lot of scoring, the action is fast-paced, and there's plenty of physicality. Arena is magnficient with the video boards. Overall, the crowd ambiance creates a great experience for all, including families.

This particular game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Sharks shutout one of the elite teams in the NHL, including the poster-player, Sidney Crosby.

I was in row 3 sect 114, a nice change to see the physical play up close and watch the Sharks offense. The section overall was quiet in the beginning, thought I was in a morgue for awhile. 3 of us are big Joe Pavelski fans since we all grew up in Wisconsin but didn't get to see him since he's still out on injury. Great game for the Sharks overall.

This is not the 1st time we have sat at the bottom ring in the HP pavilion; but it was the 1st time we had sat in the 2nd row. The Sharks attacked twice on our end of the ice and it was exilerating. They slammed into the boards, they flew around the ice, it was very exciting. Also, since we were in the lower bowl we had access to special restrooms, bars, restaurants, that the general public does not have access to. There were less crowds and smaller lines and it made for a fun, unstressful event. I would highly recommend going to a Sharks game no matter where you sit.

The energy is incredible. The Sharks are heavily supported by San Jose, and the Sharks showed their appreciation by performing to the best of their ability. They had nearly 50 shots on goal in this game, and avenged the loss they suffered in the first game of this season. If you are a Sharks fan, you have to go to a game at least once.

The fact that I love the game and that the San Jose "Sharks" is the only "real" professional team in which San Jose truly can say is theirs, being born here I am biased to the core. Even had we lost (which we certainly did not), I would have given this event 5 stars! THX Ticketmaster for the great seat!

Amazing game. I never miss a Sharks/Avs game, as I have players on both teams. It is difficult to pick a team to root for, but in the end, I always end up picking San Jose because that's where my loyalties lie and always will.

It was a great game to go to in a fantastic facility, but getting there from the northbay was a nightmare. It didn't help that the Bay Bridge was closed, and anywhere one went to avoid the traffic was a mess. Clowes first goal of the year gives him back to back great performances. I hope it keeps on for him and the team.

The tickets purchased through Ticketmaster were the best seats I've ever had at the Tank. The game was awesome. My vocal cords are strained because sitting in front of us were 4 Avalanche fans. Had to rub in our victory extra loud. How dare they come into our house with their gear on. Go SHARKS!!!

What else can a hockey fan ask for? 47 shots on goal, only 3 allowed makes for an action packed game but not too one-sided. It was a battle on ice!

A breakaway goal for one team, a shorthanded goal for the opposition, amazing saves on both ends of the ice equals to adrenaline pumping ALL the time.

I think the only thing we didn't get to see was a fight but oh well, the season will be long enough for that! >:)

Had an awesome time at the HP Pavillion in San Jose for the Sharks first home game of the new season against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The sell-out crowd created an fantastic atmosphere, & the game itself was fast paced, with plenty of goals! A 6-3 final score to the home side was more than anyone could have wished for! A lovely lady sitting next to us was even nice enough to give me her San Jose jersey as a memento of my trip to the States! Fantastic!

At least one fight broke out on the upper level. Spectators couldn't remain seated for a 20 minute period--view of game blocked a lot. A block of people were even doing the 'wave' in front of us for half a period and during some pretty tense play--missed seeing that too. There didn't used to be a lot of heavy profanity used in the upper level. Not a problem for us, but if you got kids you might want to rethink going.
