What a fantastic experience it was making it to the Pittsburgh Penguins game on Monday night. Having seen the Penguins play many games, mostly in New Jersey and Hartford, CT, I knew a little about what I was getting myself into. Being a huge Penguin fan, it's a COMPLETELY different experience watching YOUR team in front of their home crowd. It was well worth the 7-hr drive from CT to attend. I will do my best to visit Pittsburgh more regularly, in order to catch both the Steelers and Penguins in action!

From the first drop, the Pens owned this game. It was great to see them have success on the Power Play. The new talent stepped right in for the injured Pens, and never missed a beat. Billy Guerin is back...

The game was AWESOME! Once BIlly scored that goal with .4 seconds left...WOW! Before that it was 4-5 and it broke my heart to see some many people leave. I stay all the time no matter if we are up 3 or down 3...I support my team. The game was great! Pittsburgh should be very happy to have Malkin on the team and I'm soo glad he's back! I cannot wait until the rest of the team is healthy! LET'S GO PENS!

Amazing game! The Pens ALWAYS bring it and they definitely did not disappoint at this game...Pens are always worth the money, no matter where you're sitting, you're gonna see a great game with amazing players :)

The score board was not visible from the seats and the tv monitors did not post score or clock, so you had no idea how much time remained

With four tenths of a second left (that's MM:SS.4), Bill Guerin scores the goal to put the game into overtime. Pascal Dupuis seals the win in OT! Pens win 6-5!

Seats were "limited view" due to the F level balcony above, but you could see most of the ice. We had a good view of the goal which the Pens were to shoot at in the 1st and 3rd periods.

The only part of the ice that was difficult to see was the far corner. Also, you had no view of the scoreboard and clock. Other than that, it was a great "first game at the Igloo (Mellon Arena)" event in my life!

My overall experience at this event was okay. The only real issue I had was with the venue itself. While I love the charm of the ol' Mellon Arena, I can not stand the design. I took my parents and girlfriend to this game as a birthday present for my father (71 years old). They didn't have much trouble accessing the seats, and the usher was one of the friendliest I've ever had at the arena. However, the old, outdated seats themselves were the problem. I'm 6'1" and having my knees jammed into the seat in front of me all night was not pleasant. And hearing my mother complain about the same issue was even less pleasant. :) Also, out seats were in C28, which i was unaware was under the balcony, so only a couple of us could see the jumbotron.
There was also a guy who kept getting kicked out of seats as the real ticket holders showed up. he must have bought cheaper ones and was trying to find a lower, unoccupied seat to sit in. This was a little distracting.
All-in-all, we had a good time, except of course that our team lost. I will certainly attend more games. I just can't wait for the new arena!

Mellon Arena is celebrating the 2008-2009 Stanley Cup Champion Penguins this year as well as their last year in Mellon Arena. The event went well and the seats we had were great. I recommend this to everyone. We are from Detroit, MI, and we drove down for the weekend just to go to the game. :)

First of all, let's get the bad news out of the way. My Pens' lost 2-1. Ughhh! However we can't control that can we? The game was great and the view from the seats I had purchased from ticketmaster were awesome. It was alot of fun especially for my son and his fiancee who are in town visiting. My overall experience with ticketmaster from the online purchase to recieving them in the mail was so easy. I highly recomend this site.

Went to the Pens game when they faced the Wild on Halloween night. It was a great atmosphere and the fans were into it. The only down fall was the fact the home town boys didn't win, despite the fact they played pretty well. For it being early in the season it was much louder then I expected and I can't wait to see some more games before Mellon Arena closes it's doors!

the game was a blast. we took my 2 yr old daughter to her first hockey game on halloween. we dressed her up as a penguin. we drove up from northern virginia. even though the penguins lost it was still alot of fun. we can't wait to go again, and when the new arena opens
