We've traveled to see the Pittsburgh Penguins play at a variety of road venues over the years. As our four starts and review title indicate, the game at the BB&T center was a very positive experience. The building is very nice; everything nice and neat and clean. The concessions are noteworthy; carving stations, fresh asian stir-fry, in addition to the standard stadium fare.
So why four stars and not five? Well, the location of the venue is kinda out there. Literally. It's not close to Miami, so prepare for a not-too-long but not short drive(on 95) to get there. Or you can stay in the Ft. Lauderdale area, which is what we did. That makes the drive to the venue more manageable, but it also means that if you want to do anything in Miami, then you're driving there instead.
Another aspect was parking, in that you're committed to parking in the venue's lot for $20. In other cities with more centrally located venues there are other parking options. If there are here, we didn't see them.
And that's how we got to four stars.
