I've been to stadiums all over the US and Ford Field is definitely tops in my book. The stadium is beautiful and it's an absolute joy to take off your jacket and sit down after 4 hours of tailgating in the cold of November and December. While the home side of the stadium is dominated by the Lions Pro shop and standard stadium fare, the visitors side has tons of food and drink options, including craft beers, cocktails, Detroit's famous coney dogs, Thai chile burger, Singapore chicken skewers, and lamb gyros. The fanbase, while loud, is very friendly and always up for a good time. In the many years I've been going to Lions games, I have never once seen the kind of fighting and loutish behavior that I've seen at other stadiums (worst offenders being Soldier Field and Sun Life Stadium in Miami). Definitely ok to bring the kids to a Lions game.
