This was the first time I have viewed a Browns game at the new stadium and I thought that the behavior of the Browns fans was somewhat better than the other Browns' games I have seen at the old venue (but, of course, their behavior in the past was often deplorable). With the exception of one fan who kept beating on me because I was wearing a Packers jacket, the fans sitting around me were polite and courteous.
I did find the staium personnel less than helpful when attempting to find my seat. The signage in the concourse was not always clear nor accurate (one identified the location of a non existant elevator) and when I asked for directions to the mezzanine where my seats were located, I recieved conflicting and often erroneous information, I asked both vendors and security personnel and did not receive helpful information. Since I arrived early, the extra 40 minutes it took to find my seats allowed us to get seated almost an h our before kick-off, but the confusion I experienced was still unfortunate. I have been to various professional baseball and football stadiums in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, NYC, Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Green Bay, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, and elsewhere and this was the most confusing experience I have had.
I was al;so disappointed in the scoreboards which were too small to read without binoculars. Sometimes when the game gets out of hand, as it did on Sunday, I like to "scoreboard watch" to keep up with the other teams and this was very difficult to do. First of all, the cores were only occasionally posted and when they were the teams were identified with only a partial image of their logo which made it more difficult to read. The central video images on the main scoreboard for re-plays were much better.
