The Showdown between TnSU and UAPB band was great. It was one of the best fifth quarters I have seen in a long time. The football game sucked, but the bands were excellent!

Ticketmaster sold me a ticket to attend the TSU versus UT Martin game, on 11-12-11. I had the ticket reserved and held at the "Will Call" gate. Unfortunately, the ticket had me assigned to section 202 which was closed off and the seats were prohibited. Why would I be sold tickets to a section that was sealed off from all patrons? Also, the tickets indicated that the game would start at 5:30pm, yet the game started at 5:00pm. I felt cheated out of 30 minutes of a football game due to misrepresentation.

Game was epic...great TSU football - John would have been proud! Game was well attended, security was tight but friendly and fans were excited. A great event to show any young person the magic of attending an HBCU. The Aristocrat of Bands alone was worth the price of admission.

I've been to almost every classics, bit never this one, so I though I would go. My boyfriend and I arrived, it was very unorganized. We didnt know where to go, where we could park or anything. Finally got that situated and went into the stadium. All it is was a fashion show. No one was watching the game. Lp field is very nice. For it to be a classics, the stadium was empty. They should've had it and their stadium. The people were rude. I wanted to see the battle of the bands, but there wasn't one. You know why? Bc southerens band never showed up... Said they has bus failure! Yeah right! I wrote all that to say this.... I will never ever, ever go to another john merritt classics.... I don't are if they gave me free tickets and also paid me to go! It isn't worth your time. Go to the magic city classics in bham al or to the citrus classic in Orlando.... They are worth it !

This classic was a great sporting event for clean family fun and excitement. The city of Nashville treat us like family. There was the country music festival, concerts, dancing, and different activities throughout the city. This should be on your schedule for next year.

The game was to be played at 5pm according to the ticket. It started at 6pm, which means I was one hour early with NO PLACE TO SIT.

This event was a great experience and being able to get tickets through ticketmaster made it even better. There was no waiting in line to purchase tickets and I got to sit on the 40 yard line. Great.
