Outstanding musicians all and fascinating instruments BUT not one long solo by Yo Yo and that should have been made clear in the event description. He kept a low profile and did not perform in some songs but was replaced by another cellist who was good but we came to hear Yo Yo!!!!This was very disappointing. After driving 2 hours each way and spending a lot of money on tickets and $50 on a babysitter, I was disappointed. Guess I will never get to hear Yo Yo the way I wanted to hear him - one classical piece. Sigh

Bought tickets for Yo Yo Ma and Silk Road Ensemble.
Only got Silk Road Ensemble with YYM as a member.
Did not get any Yo Yo Ma.
Sure SRE has interest to some but not me nor my wife.
Endured through the first encore and left. Couldn't
believe people wanted more.

The Silk Road Ensemble was truly a work of art in music and a pleasure to listen to and watch. The performers loved their work and thrived on their composition, nice to see that in today's world.

We had 8 people's with us, two young musicians, who are our grandchildren 13 and 11.they
Witnessed a living legend such as YO YO...participate with an ensemble of gifted talented musicians an awesome evening a forever memory of music...the 11year old a cello student...the 13 piano.thank you....

This ensemble was absolutely amazing! To see Yo Yo Ma perform in person was unbelievable! An evening greatly enjoyed by everyone!!

Conductor Miller and Albany Symphony Orchedstra displayed exceptional talent. Yo-yo Ma performed brilliantly. It seems... through his cello he "breathes" the music. It was an honor to witness this outstanding event!

This was the first time I saw the Albany Symphony. The main reason I attended this event was to see Yo Yo Ma. I have seen him several times now and have never been disappointed.

I am very happy to see "great performers" come to Reno. Technically, I thought Yo-Yo, Karhryn and the drummer were fantastic. I was not crazy about the music itself. I thought the guiter players were sweet, but did not care for the music. My husband is classically trained on the piano and thought the music was a "bunch of racket". I felt like we were guinea pigs before going before audiences in larger cities. Sorry, but I have to say that I was disappointed. I was probably in the minority judging from the applause.

The music was very good. Different than what I was expecting but very good none the less. I did not care for the venue at all. Sitting a a table with four complete strangers and having to crane my neck to view the stage was not enjoyable. I would recommend the performers but not the venue.

This show was fantastic. All the musicians performed magically and you could just see the enjoyment and enthusiam in their actions, smiles and the beauty of the music. Not only were Yo-Yo Ma & Kathryn Stott awesome, but Joseph Gramley and the Assad Brothers were fantastic. I cannot rave enough about a thoroughly enjoyable evening and experience to see these musicans perform together.

How very lucky we are in Reno to have such talent come to our city. Yo Yo was so enthusiastic and his admiration for the others in the performance was contagious. All were extremely talented. We dfinitely want to give our thanks to Artown for bringing such a performance to us.

I bought tickets to specially see Yo-Yo Ma, and was surprised that he wasn't giving a concert. Instead, he was just one of many musicians. At first, I was disappointed, but when they started playing, the melodies were so interesting, you couldn't help but be captivated. I can't tell you what instruments were present b/c I can't even pronounce the words. At first glance, you think those instruments had no business being in the same room together, yet, somehow they all came together in the most intricate and melodious way. And the musicians had fun playing, smiling, rocking out, and really enjoying themselves which made the audience want more. Even though Yo-Yo Ma didn't give a solo, you still saw his fingers flying over that beautiful cello in a manner as secondary to him as walking. It was just a joy to witness that talent first hand.

The performance was great! They played amazing, but what really dislike me was that at least where we were sitting it was hot, I let the girl who helped with the sitting know about it, but at the second half our seat still no getting any cooler.
That is funny, you are asking for picture or video when we can't take any according with the helping girls, not even before the event started, of course not even during the event. But I noticed at least one person taking pictures during the concert, and another recording, that I don't understand why they keep doing that after the announce that it is not allowed.
I will love to have at least one before the event.

Wonderful evening in an incredible venue. The pieces were diverse and lovely. The gaita player was incredibly enthusiastic, and the rest of the musicians were tremendously skilled. I would have liked to see a solo by Yo-Yo Ma, but it was still magical.
