From the sets, the kids in the show, to the super villainess, this production succeeded! A very true-to-book adaptation of C.S. Lewis novel, and a great way to introduce children to the theatre and how to be a good theatre-goer. My only real complaint is about the weak Aslan. More dictatorial general than loving and warm allegorical character, the actor seemed to be racing through his lines without any real deliberateness, as though unaware of the stateliness, the reverence, etc., that imbues the King of Beasts. The White Witch, on the other hand, perfectly embodied Aslan's opposite: cold, cruel, and calculating, she didn't skimp on "scary," a compliment to the level of intelligence the kids - both in the show and in the audience - seemed to have. She might not have stolen Narnia, but she stole the show!
