Casa Manana's production of Sweeny Todd was outstanding. Not only was the cast superb, the set design was innovative and bold. The orchestra was excellent but sometimes the sound was overpowering. The costumes and choreography rocked!

The venue was not conducive to a professional play, and took away from the overall production, in my opinion. The lack of sets took away from the overall quality of the performance. I could not separate myself from the stage, sets, and chaos throughout the production. As a result of the venue and the challenges the cast and crew had dealing with them and performing at the same time and my distraction with it, my experience was not as enjoyable as I expected it to be. Secondly, the overuse of fog and haze created an environment where it was difficult to breathe throughout the play.

Eventhough the message was very dark and disturbing, I enjoyed every minute. The production, sound effects, music and the cast was simply amazing. This is one broadway show I recommend.

I went and bought the CD for the movie prior to seeing the musical. The voices of the actors and actresses were so much better than the movie. This was spectacular! I would have loved to go back and see it but we went on the last day, last showing.

Mrs. Lovett (Joy Hermalyn) was Hilarious, Norm Lewis (Sweeny Tood) was a Joy to watch on stage)!! The entire cast was "Breath Taking"! I really enjoyed the cast taking their performance out into the Audience and including us into their SPECTACULAR performance! BRAVO!!!!!

I took my 13 year old granddaughter to see Sweeney Todd. She had seen the movie version and I had the unforgettable memories of seeing Sweeney Todd with Angela Lansbury on Broadway over 30 years ago. The Casa Manana proved itself every bit the quality of a Broadway show. The caliber of talent was amazing and we both loved it!!

It was a good play, and this is coming from someone who dislikes theater. My girlfriend, a theater fanatic, also enjoyed the play saying it was by far her favorite.

I gave this play a 5/5, not based on my opinion alone but also that of my girlfriends. Even as someone who has a distaste for theater I could easily recommend this play.

After reading the review in Ft Worth newspaper last week I decided to take the critic's advice and give Sweeney Todd a look and listen on closing night. The entire production was virtually flawless. What an undertaking and what a vision. KUDOS to the director for bringing a definite take and look and feel for the material and KUDOS to the entire cast for realizing that vision and brining it to fruition. Very technical, very theatrical, very funny, very musical, and most of all VERY ENTERTAINING. I had seen the musical twice before but this production will be the one I remember. I am sorry to say I cannot single out one performance because ALL performances were right on. I guess what I will remember most is the look of the show and the beautiful voices from the very first note to the last. AWESOME produciton ! ! !

I've never seen Sweeney Todd so the story was a little hard to swallw at times but the cast was superb. Norm Lewis is just amazing to watch and listen to as the demon barber of fleet street! Love him!!

This was an awesome musical. I have seen the movie a hundred times. When I saw that this was going to be at Casa Manana I purchased the tickets immediately. There were some amazing voices in the cast. Everyone that performed was an expert performer. Much better than the movie. Mrs. Lovett and Sweeney were unstoppable forces until the end of course. I can't wait to see it again.

Loved it! From the eerie music and creepy people walking around the audience before the show began to the powerful ending - it was very well done. Especially enjoyed Anthony and Mrs. Lovett! Thought Tobias was too old, but when he sang "Nothing's gonna Harm You" and his great acting at the end, I realized why he got the part! I loved Johanna's beautiful voice during "Green Finch and Linnet Bird". Wonderfully staged! Bravo!! Thanks for bringing this favorite to the stage and for going all out!

This production of Sweeney Todd was truly amazing and FUN to watch. Thoroughly enjoyable and worth the time, money and energy (driving to Fort Worth from north suburb)!
My daughter (14 years old) was in a teen production of Sweeney this past summer and I don't think she thought this was going to be worth seeing. Boy, was she wrong! She was totally enthralled by the cast, lighting and staging of this production, she even admitted that, while Johnny Depp is her idol, this was better than the movie! WOW!
Four Stars especially for Mrs. Lovett !

My 12 year old son and I went to see the matinee showing of Sweeney Todd. They did an absolutely fantastic job with it. The actress that played Mrs. Lovett was especially talented. Her delivery was flawless. My son enjoyed it and we highly recommend it.

Sweeney Todd was great. The actors were exceptional in portraying their characters and getting the audience to empathize and feel the storylines. The only complaint was the loud train whistle seemed exceptionally loud. My husband and I left worried about loss of hearing in that frequency range.
