Visions of a Bible was an truly unforgettable evening. Mr. Glover uses his body as a rhythm instrument in this truly unique setting. The first half is a duet between taps and voice (Ms. Hunter). The interplay between the two is original and breathtaking.
The second half is between Mr. Glover and his band. What a jazz treat. I often wondered about the dynamics of the band with 4 rhythm instruments (drums, bass, piano and taps), but the result was fascinating. A unique sound and rhythm I will long remember.
I first saw Mr. Glover in Jelly's Last Jam, and while amazing even then, he's come so far in skill and understanding of tap as a unique art form. I highly recommend this show.
