I must admit the Phantom caught me by surprise. The second act kept me mesmerized and leaning forward to hear everything said and sung. I'm glad i took the family, we really enjoyed this show!

After all these years, Phantom is still a great stage production with all the terrific music and over-the-top sets.

Six of us sat in row #22. The words were very difficult to understand. This is different (more modern) version than we have seen before in that the Phantom is unmasked early on and he has a blow up doll. We did not care for it!

The sights, music and the voices resonated throughout the Gammage Theater on the Arizona State University campus. As the Phantom of the Opera, thrilled the audience and kept them on the edge of their seats, a cast of well-rehearsed professional actors sensationally did the musical play. All gave a perfect performance

This was a great b-day gift from my husband. It was unforgettable and memorable. Was very sad when it ended. The only complaint was the gal sitting next to us. She ignored the "turn off cell phone and no camera" announcement. I guess that did not pertain to her. The light from her camera/video record was blinding and very disrupting at best. It was very rude of her. Other than it was great.

The gammage auditorium my first visit to is an amazing architectural gem.
All the Players in the play from the least known to the main players with the biggest part were all terrific.
Everyone sang and played their part flawlessly. They all gave 100% it's not just a job to them it's their passion and it comes across and is such a joy to watch and the singing was fantastic and most pleasing to the ears.
It's an amazing show and the behind the scenes people that help bring this opera to life in different states have a very important part in this production also.
The orchestra was also fantastic and the conductor was Perfect.
Bravo Bravo my sincere gratitude for a wonderful combination of music, singing and players. A complete pleasure to the eyes and ears. A delight and would love to see Phantom of the Opera again and again.
My husband a graduate of ASU was also very pleased at how well the Gammage Auditorium has been kept up with time.
The workers or volunteers were also very nice and polite.

There were several new stage changes and effects since the last time I saw this show. They all made the overall experience new and exciting for the third time around. The lead actor had a truly amazing voice. The costumes were incredible, so detailed and colorful. Sitting close enough to be chilled by the "mist on the lake" and feel the heat from the flashpots in the cemetery scene certainly added to the experience.

I wasn't completely impressed with the overall production. I had expected Christine's voice to be more soft and beautiful. But the performer still did a good job, it's just not what I was expecting. Overall, it wasn't my favorite performance, but it's Phantom, so it's something you should see.

This was my 3rd time seeing Phantom, and this time was good, but not great. I enjoyed Christine's and Raoul's voices. The Phantom sounded a bit whiney at times, which was a bit distracting. Overall, it wasn't my favorite performance, but if you've never seen it on stage, I would say go.

This was the 2nd time I saw Phantom of the Opera and this production was totally AMAZING!!!!! Maybe because I knew the story and could keep up with all the players, or maybe because this production was done so perfectly, I absolutely loved it. Anyone who ever has been rejected or dumped by a lover will totally identify with the Phantom...I loved it and look forward to seeing it again.

Please don't get me wrong - the performers were awesome (although "Christie" and the orchestra did get out of synch at one point during "Angel of Music".) I think the main problem was that the auditorium wasn't intended to support a presentation of this magnitude. I was sitting higher up in the Foyer. Could barely hear many of the singers, and the orchestra wasn't as clear as I had hoped. I saw the Phantom before in a much larger setting - it was "Awesome". This time was "ok". My wife has never seen it before - she had the same reaction (sort of enjoyed it, but not overly impressed).

It was very difficult hearing the words they were saying even in the front of the orchestra. I thought the cast was ok not good. The voices were not as strong as some of the casts I have seen before. I would recommend it, but only give it a 3 star review.

Could not understand any of the minor character dialogue or words. Much too rapid in speach and song, with not enough diction. Left me completely out of at least half of play. Theater as venue plays mainly to center sections, our seat was front balcony right, and clearly not in the line of sound in order to understand what was being sung and said.

The overall production was excellent. The costumes and special effects were very well handled. The three lead performers had beautiful clear voices. The only performer I was not impressed by was the soprano. Often times the musical perfomance became almost at a screech level. Perhaps her problem was with the sound equipment.

This is the fifth time I have seen this show at Gammage, over the last ten years ,and it has never disappointed. This production was as good as the last two I have seen there. The costumes are fantastic, the singing is amazing, and the show is absolutely unforgettable. The live orchestra is a nice touch. Another phabulous Phantom show !

This event was wonderful. The voices were clear, poignant, and well projected. The staging was great and the costumes lovely. The seating was something else. We were told the best seats we could get were in row 27 and there were at least 10 or 15 rows ahead of us empty. Everything would have been much better if we could have seen it but the show itself was wonderful and definitely worth seeing.
