Twelve years ago we moved from Phoenix to NYC. Love opera. With our return here and our first visit to the Arizona Opera in 12 years, we were astonished at the quality of the sets, the orchestra and, mostly, the cast. All voices were terrific. Lisette Oropesa is a phenom as Lucia. We look forward to many more opera productions here in Phoenix.

One of my all time favorite operas very well presented.. Lisette Oropesa. turned in a stellar performance and reinforced my opinion that she is on the way to super stardom.

Very nice setting and costumes, obviously careful thought has been put into that.
But the cast was very good indeed. Mark Walters as Enrico was just wonderful. David Margulis did a very good job as Arturo. Joseph Wolverton I thought had a pretty sloppy start, but somehow caught up with the rest and his final aria 'Tu che a Dio spiegasti l'ali' was just as wonderful, powerful and did justice to the high quality of the entire performance.
Lisette Oropesa was stellar - such a delight her voice, her acting, words fail me to describe the amazing experience and the electric air in the entire room. Thank you, Lisette Oropesa!!!

It was my first time at the opera and I guess I wasn't aware it was 100% singing. It took a bit to get use to it but overall I ended up enjoying it.

This was a first class production from start to finish. I'm glad I went. Everything clicked. The singing was superb, the acting was great and the orchestra did not miss a beat.

Even with the snow storm that took over Bloomington, the theatre was quite packed. The performances by Enrico and Lucia were something else - you could tell they really enjoy their roles.
Overall, a really good piece - definitely a must see.
