The show was wonderful. The orchestra was flawless and really swept me away. The singing was powerful and impressive. There were a few small singing errors near the start, but as the show got on they got better. We would have appreciated more props or backdrops. Would recommend this to anyone!

This performance was absolutely riveting. The singing was top quality and awesome, as was the acting. At the end, there was a very well deserved standing ovation.
My son, who also appreciates opera tremendously, and who works in NYC, said that, now that he knows the quality of performance that can be experienced at Tilles, he will be going there far more often. I concur.
It was a beautiful experience in every way.

La Traviata was sublime! The staging was incredible, the cast was wonderful and the music was just fabulous. Miss Futral was just wonderful as Violetta and her voice was heavenly! Costuming was terrific, too. It was all just wonderful! The acts went by so rapidly; I could hardly believe it when the curtain came down.
The Lyric is beautifully redone; our seats were wonderful and the facility was fabulous. The service at the little beverage counters was courteous, but overwhelmed by the crowds at intermission; that could easily be remedied!
Over all, a wonderful experience! We will be back!!

Worth the trip from Maine. LaTraviata is one of my favorite operas and this production (almost) lived up to all of my hopes and expectations. The singing, acting, orchestra (great acoustics in the new Lyric), costumes, staging and lighting were all top notch. My only disappointment was in the background of the sets. Too much "gray". A very minor issue when all is considered.

Thoroughly enjoyed this opera. All lead singers were very good. Elizabeth Futral as Violetta was excellent - really top notch. Having the BSO in the Pit was great - they were excellent - violins, oboes, clarinets! Set was right on - completely disagree with Baltimore Sun review about the sets - to me they looked just right and were impressive - the Sun's negative tone should be disregarded - this is not the Met but quite good. Lyric acoustics are excellent.

La Traviata was our first opera. We watched the movie and listened to the CD, so we would know the story, but nothing was better than watching it from almost the front row! It was so beautiful and it brought tears to my eyes. My husband said he was humming the songs all the next day at work. Great job and Bravo to the performers.

The performers and production were excellent and I strongly wish there were more opera productions in Baltimore. However I have two minor critiques: 1) I felt that the supertitles were lacking, sometimes for about half of a sequence, and did not include good dual translations when there were two singers. I realize that often the translation would be repetitious but I do not see the harm in more complete translations as I have seen in opera elsewhere - my Italian and opera knowledge are not that good as to be able to follow well without more translation. 2) I felt that the curtain fell much too fast upon the death of Violetta. I think just a few seconds more to make the impact stronger and have the audience bear the tragedy a bit more would have added some depth. The falling of the curtain appeared hasty. Thanks very much to the Baltimore Opera Theatre. I will attend again.

The show was awesome. The sound was great. I only wish that all the spectators were seated by the time the show started. it was distracting to have ushers seat people 10 minutes after the start time.

Music itself was decent, but the performances seemed very forced. The sets were shoddy and poorly put together. Don't waste your money on this one.

We all now Miami Opera limited budget, they recognize that. Even with this limitations they were able to present a great performace that my wife and me enjoyed very much.
We liked from begning to the end. The soprano and the rest of the staff were up to the task. We liked very much and look forward for future Miami Luyric Opera presentations

This is a great little opera house with a lot of bang for the buck. Mostly student and JV performers but they were very good for what they are. This is Soth Florida's only opera house and it should be saved.
