This play was so disappointing and so not ready for broadway and was made even worst with Constantine taking the afternoon off. Deborah Cox was the only bright spot of the show. Save your money for a better show.

The voices in this musical were AMAZING. The technical details in the set design were SUPERIOR. However, the details in the story line were lacking, and it ended rather quickly, losing points in my book. The relationships looked as though they would be well defined in the first half, and quickly dissolved in the second act. I appreciate the re-writing of the iconic story, with a new twist for my generation, but somethings don't need completely revamped.
I wish this group luck on Broadway, but I fear it won't last.

Great seats with superb view, the performance was spellbinding! The special effects and stage settings were stunning. Was quite easy to get caught up in the story.
My wife and I came to Jekyll & Hyde primarily to see Constantine as we both were fans and followed him on American Idol and were *(disappointed) that Constantine was substituted with another performer, would not have came that day if we had known, even though the other actor was exceedingly good.

Spectacular, outstanding, unforgettable! Constantine Maroulis should get a Tony for his performance in this production. Constantine's acting! all I can say is it is star quality all the way.This is the Moment gave me chills and brought tears to my eyes because Constantine's vocals were that amazing. Deborah Cox and all the cast were fantastic. I will see it in NYC for sure. Do not miss Jekyll and Hyde! If you need to travel to see it do so.

Very well done. The sets were unique and the special effects, especially in the last scene were amazing. I was not as impressed with Constantine's singing as I expected to be and since he was in every scene, that was a little disappointing for me. Based on the applause at the end however, the rest of the audience LOVED him. Deborah Cox was amazing. Unfortunately, she had a relatively small part. The rest of the cast was excellent. The plot was interesting. I wish I hadn't forgotten my opera glasses.

The talent was amazing, so it was a great performance. The story was very dark, so it was definitely not one of my favorite musicals. It's hard to go home feeling good when everyone dies! Still, the cast made it enjoyable and worth seeing.

The show was awesome! Music was awesome. Set was awesome. Effects were awesome. Sound was awesome. Cast was awesome. Basically, it was awesome - especially when you're in the second row!
One question about the characters though... Why was the judge wearing a dread wig?? At first I was thinking, that's cool that they allowed someone with dreads to perform, but during the Q&A the guy didn't have dreads - he said it was a wig! I was too nervous to ask. Hmm...

Absolutely loved it! Jekyll & Hyde - Marvelous!!! Edward Hyde was incredible! The singing, the story, the scenes with Hyde and Lucy were hot; Jekyll was awesome. Just a great broadway show. Constantine Maroulis and Deborah Cox were amazing. The supporting cast incredible. I just loved the whole thing!
Definitely a must see and a see again...Bring back more with Constantine Maroulis to our city anytime. He is outstanding!

I was looking forward to this show, and right from the start I wasn't feeling the performance. Constantine was hard to understand and at times it was like he as screaming instead of singing. When I walked out all I could say was "I'm glad it's over". I've been to a number of performances at the Civic Center and this is definitely my least favorite. I would not recommend this to anyone.

The play was amazing! I loved just about every moment of it. It was well told and well performed. The 2 female leads showed off there talent and were the shining stars over the lead male role. He was a little soft spoken but great none the less. He switched between the good scientist and the evil persona flawlessly. The edgy music and song kept you at the end of your seat. There was one part in the second act toward the end that went over the top with special effects and video background display. Since it wasn't anywhere else in the musical it wasn't needed to convoy the message and wasn't needed. I would of loved to see this part without all that was used. I think it could have been done just as great and would of allowed a full 5 star rating then. But I wouldn't change anything else. I would see it again this weekend if I wasn't already busy. Definitely a must see!!!!!!!

Overall it was a good musical/play, but if I'm being honest I was a little "surprised" at Constantine's perfomance....I wasn't all that impressed. Deborah Cox on the other hand was fantastic. Definitely worth the Saturday evening outting.

I guess I'm bias to the classical style. This adoption of POP musical theatre did not sit well with me. Very difficult to build any attachment to the performers/characters. I would recommend looking at a sample of the show before paying for this flop!
Also, not sure who is in charge of the prepaid parking, but it's very unnerving when you show up to the show with $12 prepay parking passes and the lot boys are charging $10. Little common sense would be appreciated, if trying to encourage an organized and well planned event.

Thank God I don't subscribe to or read the L.A. Times and it bothers me when their critics pass judgement as if they were judge and jury on artistic events and shows such as this production of Jekyll and Hyde. I'd never seen the show but have the original cast CD so the only comparison I can make is that this production is updated with a more "rock" style score , which strangely enough, I didn't really mind. The principles were excellent!

The show was great. I am not familiar with Constantine's work and the Jekyll versus Hyde scenes were the only ones where I noticed huge musical differences.
Deborah Cox was fantastic and I was very happy that they brought back "Bring on the Men" for this production.

I thought it was a great performance. You could really see and feel the passion the actors were illuminating off the stage. Each performer truly immortalized the character they were expressing in a very professional way.
