This show was a disappointment, due to the sound quality. Kinky has recorded some great music, and I was really looking forward to hearing them perform it live. Although the band put on an energetic performance and seemed to be enjoying themselves, the overly loud and muddy sound made it impossible for me to enjoy myself. I’m sorry to say that we ended up leaving early.
The House of Blues in Dallas is a great venue for music, and I have enjoyed excellent sound at several shows there, so I know they can do right by loud rock. For whatever reason, it just wasn’t happening during Kinky’s gig.
