I really enjoyed this Pink Martini concert, along with the Portland Symphony; what a great combination! I took a friend who was unfamiliar with Pink Martini, and he enjoyed them as much as I do! I have been to a number of their concerts, loved all of them and always look forward to attending another one. I love their music for it's quality, originality and the varied languages the songs are presented in.

If you haven't seen Pink Martini perform live, you're missing out! Their music is diverse and it make you want to get up and dance. PLUS, seeing them at an outdoor venue like Chateau Ste Michelle Winery was a treat! Great music, good wine, beautiful late summer Pacific Northwest weather....it was a great time!

This is the fifth time I saw Pink Martini. Every time feels like a first. What a treat. What a privilege to be serenaded by China Forbes and entertainened by Thomas Lauderdale and his fantastic band. This time, I took my 10 years old, and he loved every minute of it. Thank you for such fantastic music.
And Humphrey's is a great venue too.

We brought two people who did not know them and they loved the show. I am so happy that one of my favorite bands played at my favorite venue. I have seen several shows at Humphreys and will continue to come. I would also love to see Pink Martini with a full orchestra. They Rock!

As the sun set on the bay in San Diego, our en-of-summer reward was the second row center seating for Pink Martini. We fell in love again with this electic band...who would think from Portland? Each member with a distinct personality, talent beyond measure blend to transport one to Rio, Paris, New York...oh, and yes back in time to big bands, black and white movies and romance.

At the evenings end, everyone was on their feet for "Brazil", we, too, danced our way back to our room. Great venue for this group.

A perfect mix of their old favorites and new songs just being released. Crowd was well behaved and really enjoyed their music. The sound system was adjusted well with the vocals being heard at the right level.

Wow! Nothing can beat seeing Pink Martini in concert by the bay at Humphries. This is the second year we've taken advantage of the show/dinner/suite package. Front row seats, a huge suite overlooking the marina and a fabulous dinner for one very affordable price. Pink Martini is, truly, one of the most talented musical groups in history. Their range of music is impossible to describe. World beat? Jazz? What?? My wife thinks it boils down to Romantic. They are absoloutely awesome musicians and incredibly gifted entertainers. Thomas Lauderdale is a genius and China Forbes has the voice to die for. All the artists are great individually and phenomenal together. Gavin is my wife's favorite.
The Humphries venue is outdoor, next to the marina, and is always just spectacular.

Nice, balmy early fall night in San Diego, when out walks a violinist, a cello player, guitar player, standup bass player, drummer, bongos, trumpet player and trombone player with Thomas Lauderdale an unbelievable piano player and the lead singer, China Forbes, 12 of them in all, Pink Martini and off they went on a world music tour including songs from Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, and the United States. Every musician was outstanding in their ability and played their instruments of choice to perfection. China's sang with the soul of the great legends as her voice was the perfect complement to the world, lounge, jazz mini-orchestra that is Pink Martini. An oustanding band and great concert. Would like to see them again!

Last night I saw Pink Martini for the 11th time at Humphrey's. I used to live in Portland and have had the chance to see them "grow up". Last night's performance was in my top couple EVER. They are really an amazing group to see live. I can't wait for their new album to come out next month!

Pink Martini is a wonderfully creative band with songs in many languages and genres. While their sound duplicates their albums, the lack of innovation in their live event did not detract from the fun. What did detract a bit was the Humphrey's venue. The seats are wedged in very tightly - an overweight couple had to move in order to fit! and seeing from the back is difficult as there is no slant to the stage. One tall person in front of you and your view is all but completely gone!

Since the last time we saw Pink Martini, China has become more comfortable with involving the audience in the show. The music was beyond outstanding- as always! The
new stuff they tried out was definitely up to their highest standards. I can't wait for the new CD in October and the orchestral one due in the spring 2010. Lauderdale was ever so polished - the group's energy and politics contribute to a better world. Keep it coming

Pink Martini rocked San Diego! New songs, old favorites, they just kept coming. New album coming out in October, I can't wait. China was right on and even with the humidity her voice was amazing. Thomas, well what do you say about his skills on the black & whites! The group even sign autographs after the show! Pink Martini was the Humphreys concert of the summer!
