Big Bad VooDoo Daddy has been around for 19 years and all of the members of the band have been involved since the beginning. These guys can swing!! If you are at all interested in studying Jazz from the early 20th century you have to see them.
Not only are they great musicians but incredible showmen as well. They give you a sense of what it was like during the era of the big band performance. I've never seen a dance floor at Chastain Park before - but they had one on what a great time it was!

The smaller venue was perfect! The music was varied and kept our feet tapping the whole time. The talent on that stage was incredible! What a sax player! And that lead singer, can he sing! He is liquid movement in shoes!
The whole era of the 30s thru today was right there!
Our group had 2 different generations, ages 30s and 50s, and both thought it was so much fun. Not the typical "Silent Night" holiday concert. It was fun and definately a great time! Very refreshing!

Excellent show, really enjoyed Daddy and his fantastically talented musicians. Swingin' music so difficult to sit still in your seat...wish audience would have stood up and danced, but guess everyone was trying to be polite to not block views of performance. Opening surf band, the Deadlies, were also fun and had a crazy good female drummer, Timber. The Uptown Theatre in Napa held a nice 3rd anniversary celebration of its opening that night and is a beautiful venue to see any show...not a bad seat in the house. Rock on, BBVD, can't wait to see y'all again!

The band was tight & did a good show. However, the length of the show seemed shorter than usual for a casino show. Casinos are known for 90 min shows but this one was shorter.

This was the 4th time that I have seen BBVD... 3 times at the South Shore room at Harrah's- Tahoe. As usual, They were Very good. I had 3rd row seats, and they were as Charismatic as ever. Its nice that they added a couple of new songs that we hadn't heard before. It was also nice to see a lot of older folks there, making me feel younger.

Very talented big band musicians and great charts. All band members are the originals from when they started out together twenty years ago. High quality, professional entertainers that should please any age, or musical taste.

My parents grew up in the Swing Era, so I learned to love the genre as a kid. BBVD is THE band for those of us who love Swing. They're superb musicians and their shows are a blast. This is the eighth time we've seen them perform, and they keep getting better. The music was hot and the crowd was thumpin'!

The venue was a perfect setting - with many in the crowd dressing up Voodoo Daddy style - yet the performance was still the highlight of the evening. Opening with Minnie the Moocher to warm up the crowd told me this was going to be special. And it was - song after song - old originals - new material - famous covers - it was all there. And even the songs they used to stretch out and showcase the talents of individual band members were fun to watch. It was my first time seeing them live and while it's the 20th anniversary of the band (all original members by the way) - I still hope to catch them a few more times down the road. We flew from GA to CA to catch this show!

i have been a fan of BBVD for a number of years, but had yet to see them perform live. they FAR exceeded my expectations! each of the 9 performers were extraordinary, and every song was unforgettable. they started the evening with a true jazz version of minnie the mooch, sans the cheesey audience echo at the end. and the show just kept getting more intense with each song. the energy level was nonstop. the horn section was incredibly tight but fun, the rhythm section was one of the best i have ever heard. and the front man kept the show moving expertly. as our local paper wrote the morning of the show: "go ahead. try and sit still through the show. we dare you!" i DOUBLE-dare you...

This is the second time we've seen them in Atlantic City. THIS time, we made sure to bring friends with us to show off our good taste. They were not only glad they went, they used the word "amazing." I've been to a LOT of concerts, and I'm pretty much a METAL fan, and I've SEEN some GREAT concerts, but THIS band is NOT to be missed. The music, the outfits, the stage presence, the FUN. Can't beat it. Among the TOP FIVE I've EVER seen live. Would see them AGAIN in a nanosecond.

The band was awesome. I had heard them live in November when they did short sets in Epcot. To hear them jam for an hour and a half was awesome. My feet and hands are still tired from clapping and stomping!!
