One the best shows I have seen in along time! Neko was in form last night, with her gut wrenching, heart breaking and haunting voice being the great instrument that it is. Her and her band were amazing as well, the back up singer was funny during segways between songs told jokes and was being ornery, which the crowd enjoyed! I would recommend seeing Neko Case. She is well worth the money.

We were first introduced to Neko Case through the New Pornographers...she stood out from the rest. Her voice is amazing and her lyrics thought provoking! After hearing her at Bimbos in San Francisco, we were hooked and started buying her music. Second time we saw her was at the Warfield in S.F. here recently. While we really appreciated seeing her again, we didn't feel the venue allowed her to amplify and carry out her best quality, her voice. Or would that be the mistake of the Sound People? I don't know, but I was only bummed because I wanted her to be louder, and to fill my being with her voice the way she had at Bimbos.

Im a huge fan of Neko Case, so its always a treat to get to see her live. Her band was amazing and the venue was nice. I was hoping to hear a wide variety of songs from different albums, but she mainly stuck to her new album. All in all the concert was a great experience.

Neko Case is an exceptional talent with a voice that seems to get stronger with time. Backed by a strong supporting cast and great harmonies from backing vocals, the Neko show on May 30 was as strong as late spring showers. Her lyrical talents paint some great visuals which were enhanced by screen images displayed behind the band during the evening. It was a great show leaving the crowd looking forward to her next visit.

My job was swallowed up by the economic downturn. I rationaiized spending the money on this show by saying "I need the escape and the inspiration rght now, more than ever", so there was a lot of pressure on this night, for everything to go right :)
and it did. Once again, I was lifted out of reality and into the world that Neko creates on stage. Songs that cause complete strangers to turn to each other and say "oh my gosh... do you LOVE this??" Having Joey and John on this tour was bliss. I stood heel to toe wth a packed floor of both Neko and Calexico veterans and those who asked "who are those two guys opening? are they local?"
With a limited budget for shows, I choose carefully. I rationalize when I have to, but always hope to be transported for a few hours. Music is that magic carpet. Neko, is the ultimate navigator of dreams.

`She messed around with her hair too much, she was very self concious on the state about her red dress -- with that said she is one of the most unique songwriters of our time and has a wonderful voice to boot. Her lush arrangements take one back to a simpler time, while at the same time her lyrics are as biting and original as can be found today.

Ms.Case showed nothing and seemed to be going thru the motions of collecting a paycheck. I was mildly disappointed.

Neko walked out wearing a satin red dress and joked about how it was a cougar dress, but she looked hot! they played so many songs during their set and then came out for a 5 song encore. the video projection and set behind the band was beautiful, i was impressed and rocked!

I have seen some wonderful concerts in my time and this was up there with the best.....Neko was fantastic.....amazing voice, great lyrics, great songs.......there is no one like Neko.......she is so unusual...........the band is just great - they just get better all the time....and she looked real pretty too, in her red satiny dress.........Neko i love you........such a great concert....a really special gift........thank you so much Neko and band !!!!!!!!

From start to finish, this band was tuned in and turned on. What a clear heart-piercing voice Neko Case has. Her guitarists were incredible, the background singer Kelly was hysterical, and the onstage banter was quick-witted and humorous. Some of the funnier moments include Neko responding to a fan's comment that her firey red dress was fabulous by telling the crowd she purchased it at "Cougars R Us." She also referenced the demographic crossover of her fans and Metallica's. (There was only one crossover fan in attendance.)

Neko's voice and band are as majestic and tight as they are produced on her albums. She sang mostly from her recent, most excellent album in front of a multi-media backdrop of artistic video and imagery complimenting her haunting voice. Plus, the redhead pulled off a fashion coup, wearing a shiny, blood red dress with flames fashioned at the shoulder straps. She was hot, the music was fab and her lead back-up singer kept the banter quite witty.

Great set. Great encoure. Great show.
Second time I've seen Neko Case in concert and even though the theater was large (2,800 seats), it felt like a small, intimate show.

This show was the fifth or sixth time I've seen Neko Case, and the shows have all been great. She surrounds her incredible voice with top-notch musicians. The steel guitarist, Jon Rauhouse, and the back-up singer Kelly Hogan are excellent.

Neko Case - her voice as well as the amazing band of musicians with her - made such beautiful and unique music last night at the Beacon. She stunned everyone in her sexy red dress. And the banter with her mates added to the enjoyment. But it's the unique beauty of her voice coupled with musicians who also have a unique take on sound -- this was no ordinary Monday night!
