This show was timed just right, a perfect getaway from the winter cabin fever blues!! Jonny is a fabulous performer, and always puts on a great show.. this show was fun, great young band, havin fun, groovin... really, really enjoyed it! So thankful he generally puts Lake Tahoe on his travelin map, I will go see him every time!

This was my first event at Harrah's and I fell in love with this venue. Jonny Lang was amazing - I have already recommended this venue to my friends. I can't wait to come back. Jonny Lang's voice was unforgettable and his band was great too!

It would be nice to get a refund, however, I'm sure I just lost out on 150 bucks for tickets.
The food was cooked to specs, the waitress was awesome as well as the rest of the staff, so the drinks and dinner (all though food was slightly over-priced) was great.
Saw Jonny at the Canyon Club, I was not impressed I have dabbled in guitar and music for the past 30 years, and I am not an expert, but I do have a good ear for sound, the bands harmony was off, their intonation lacked harmony, their pitch seemed off, and their rhythm wasn't very well in sync, and also it seemed Jonny's fingers were stiff or something.
This was my wife's very first concert (I thought would be awesome) but it was a disappointment even to her and she's tone deaf!
Many people in the joint whistled and applauded, however, there were several people commenting on the lack luster of the show as well as the song selection (I could hear them talking behind me, and on the way to use the lavatory).
I especially disliked the part of the show where Jonny asked the audience to sing along but nobody really did because very few people had ever heard the song...well at least when it was played that poorly , in that key, or lack there of.
I know everyone has an off day, but this was the rest of the band as well, mind you they have skills (which showed when they did individual jamming) but they didn't bring their A game (or B or C).
We don't feel like we'll be doing that again anytime soon. Jamming is one thing, but it sounded like the band didn't rehearse the set, and that's simply unprofessional to those that pay your salary.

I went to see Jonny Lang with Buddy Guy on Nov. 10, 2012. It was a fantastic show. Not only was the St Augustine ampitheater a great venue- it was filled with fantastic music all night long. I have been a fan of Jonny Lang for close to 12 years now, and he was phenomenal! Amazing voice, great stage presence, awe inspiring guitar playing
Buddy Guy was great too!
2 men with some serious skills is basically what it came down to. Great time. I cant wait to see Jonny again!

As he hasn't put out an album in a number of years, his show has turned more into reinterpreting and stretching the limits of his "song", which can be disappointing to those who just want to hear a live version of album tracks. However, if you can get over that, you are treated to a stunning display of raw emotion and guitar playing. The backing band is amazing, the chemistry is great and it is simply a great show by a master performer.

Jonny Lang has been my favorite entertainer since he started at 16 years old. His mother came to my house to visit. I've watched him every year that he came to Las Vegas and have enjoyed him immensely. The last three times he came I missed him as I was working and did not know he was in town until too late to get a ticket. I swore that the next time he came to town, I was going to see him come hell or high water. This time, I could have saved the money. He is EXTREMELY talented and for some, this performance was probably amazing. I compared it to Hendrix. I enjoyed it but certainly the extended version of his songs ( I counted about 3 or 4) was tiresome. I have always found him moving and it left those butterflies, but this time, not so much. I am out of work, but I found the money to see him and am utterly disappointed.

Jonny is truly a Blues Guitar master. He is THE BEST guitarist I've ever seen and his band is worthy is playing with him. Of course Jonny shines on his solos and I'm always taken aback when he starts singing with that raspy blues voice meant for a man much older than he is. His band mates all got a chance to shine on their given instruments and it felt like intimate organic jam sessions between masters at some points. Spectacular

Ever since high school I always wanted to sing like this guy, and for the 1St in 15 years I had the money to go see one of my all time favorite artist with my best friends. I was in the best place I could ever be. I enjoyed every minute of it. The most amazing thing of all is he sounds the same vocally but his technical style has grown so much. You can tell a true artist who truly lives and breaths his music. Jonny gives U his all and his presence is striking. From a sweet heart of a guy to a full on jazzy / blues rocker he was everything and more than what I expected. I sing his songs till this day lol. I wanna be his background singer. A must go to all. Thank you J.L.

I was disappointed. I expected to hear Jonny play the blues and instead got an intense 2 hours of loud jamming. He's a great musician...plays that guitar better than most rockers out there today, but we were not interested in that...wanted to hear mellow, soulful sounds. His "Lie To Me" was long, insufferable and just devoid of the quality of his early blues version..and so went the rest of the show.
