The show was great, only wish it'd been a little longer and included more of her older materiel. The songs she did play had cool, different arrangements. I love the new recording, Sun, and she performed most of it, along with an impressive backup band and some pretty high production values: sound, lights (very nice!), even smoke at one point...
The first few songs were a bit dodgy tune-wise on the vocals, seemed she had the flu-- not like she was high or overly emotional as I've heard can happen at her shows. One woman I met at the show said 'You never know what you'll get with her, but it's always worth it"
I got what I came for: a rich, live experience from an artist who's fairly new to me. Marshall was professional and after warming up, pitch perfect. I love how you can hear every word when she sings, her lyrics are often very meaningful for me. Very cool.
