As the sun set on one of the best brewries in upstate NY Warren and the boys were about to hit the stage with enough facemelting energy to shake ones Jam band spirit. Blistering rifts, classic blues, unbelievable grace on the guitar, one unbelievable night.

Awsome show - Warren is the greatest.
One of my favorite venues - where else can you get a bottle of wine and sit under the stars at a beautiful lake side.

Great show. They never cease to amaze and surprise. Warren is definetly the best. Jorgen is a very powerful addition to the band. His playing is very similar to Woody's. Last years show was probably the most laid back of all their show i've seen. This year there was much more energy.

Mule at the Ives on Jerry's birthday...

Warren was in great form and very engaging with the crowd. His explanation of Charles Ives and the subsequent Burl Ives/Ray Charles piece was wonderful. The second set start as a tribute to Jerry was awesome...Stella Blue, Patchwork Quilt, Sugaree made for a truly enjoyable night. Closing with Morning Dew was simply amazing....

Gov't Mule really tore it up last night!!!!!! Jr Mack opened the show . This was the first time I had ever seen Jr Mack and his band. I was really impressed with his clean and soulful slide playing as well as his incredible voice. His whole band was wonderful but I was most impressed with the woman he had playing drums. I didn't catch her name but she was powerful , tasteful and had a real sense of nuances and dynamics. When Warren Haynes came out to jam with Jr Mack that was a real treat . When the Mule took the stage they played with such emotion and feeling it was almost like a great symphony with a mixture of Blues, Jazz , Country, Rock and Reggae instead of a Classical Groove. Warren is one of the most Soulful players on the planet. Everything he does has a true blues flavor. His fellow band mates especially Matt Abts on drums compliment his playing and writing absolutely perfectly as though everyone in the band is thinking from the same mind. New Bassist Jorgan Carlsson fit into the the mix like he'd been playing with them forever. Danny Louis played the call and response card with Warren masterfully. This was my third time seeing Gov't Mule and I have never walked away disappointed. This show was no exception. They are truely the greatest Jam band in the country. The only disappointment was the Handicapped access of the venue. My Wife was in a wheel chair and everytime people stood up which was through the whole Concert She couldn't see the show. I wish they had a better place for handicapped people to enjoy the show. but other than that this is one of my favorite venues.

This was my fourth time seeing them, with the previous three being at the Chevrolet Theater in Wallingford. That's a great indoor venue but apparently the Mule are at their best outdoors. It also helped that it was Jerry's birthday.

What a show! Dynamic and energetic, it was a show built to please from start to finish. Junior Mac (?sp) started it off on a high note with driving brass, unforgettable keyboard licks and surprisingly nimble drums. Junior himself is most accomplished on blues slide and vocals. Where are the CDs?

Warren Haynes is a real charmer. His versatility was never on better display. From hard-driving rock to soft landings he was always in control with his band. High points were his solo rendition of Stella Blues after the break, Sugaree, and the encore of Morning Dew. The drummer had a phenomenal solo.
