Andy Grammer opened the whole thing and there is a reason for that. He could warm up a concrete sidewalk in Siberia: cheerful, personable, adorable, with that great voice and vibe, we would have been happy to have two hours with just Andy.
Then came Matt Kearney: really wonderful voice and immensely fun rhythms. Got us into the mood for fun music.
And TRAIN carried it all away. Cute, skilled, personable, charismatic and wonderful music. What else could be said?

The show was really good. It's clear that they love being on stage and have fun, and this is transmitted to the crowd. Pat interacts a lot with the crowd and is a funny guy. Throughout the show they signed I don't know how many T-shirts and threw them at the crowd. The light show and screening of videos in the back was perfect, not too much. I didn't get to see Andy Grammer but Matt Kearney did a good opening act. I just would have liked them to play a bit longer than an hour and a half.

Train never ceases to amaze me with their talent, stage presence and down to earth personality that makes a concert of theirs a true event. From their patented locomotive sound effects entrance to their last song, you can feel the excitement in the crowd. Pat Monahan takes a little rest and lets the crowd do their share by letting them sing the chorus of some of the songs--EVERYBODY knows the words to their songs. Even though it's a hike to get into the city during the week and I'm not a big fan of General Admission shows as I don't like standing for several hours-it's definitely worth it.

Train always puts on a great show. You can tell they love to do what they are doing. They really tried to express their gratefulness to their fans for all of their success. It is refreshing (and a trend) for bands to recognize "WHY" they are so popular and Train knows that many of their fans were fans loooooong before they became very popular. Their sound mix was awesome, very clear and perfect volume. The light show was average for todays concerts but, I really liked the way Train seems to always have a photo screen behind the stage. They use the screen to show clips and live feed to enhance their performance. This album is not an avid, hardcore Train fan's favorite album, in my opinion, but, they gave it their all in their performance and some of the songs I didn't like before the concert, I now can listen to. Thank you Scott, Jimmy, and Pat for your hard work over the years. Your still in my top 5 favorite groups of all time and, I'm a metal head at heart. Go figure.

They're back and I'm so GLAD! Train at Webster Hall was one of the BEST concerts I've seen. This group of some of the most talented musicians of our time truly just keeps getting better. It's very rare to have musical artists sound incredibly perfect live! What you hear on the final edited track you get live! Incredible! I've seen every performance of theirs in New York City for the past 8 years and each and every time I walk away with the greatest feeling. What a high! Still playing the concert and the songs in my head. Can't get enough of them and wish they were energizer bunnies that could play on forever. The repertoire of songs was filled with nostalgia and new energy; from Drops of Jupiter to Soul Sister, I wanted them to play EVERY song they're ever written! An impossibility since they have written/recorded so many wonderful songs; all have a special spiritual/cosmic meaning that brings people together for their own personal reasons. There's always a special connection between TRAIN and their audience. They have this rare gift of making the audience feel they are singing to them; not just performing. It truly was the very BEST and I'm looking forward to seeing them again...real soon! They can't keep us New Yorkers waiting so long for their next performance!

I took my son to see Train for his first concert. He thought it would be great and he was NOT AT ALL disappointed. He loved it and talked about it for weeks!!!

Great lineup, starting with Ryan Star, then the Script, then Better Than Ezra, and finishing up with Train. Train was the main reason we went, but my wife also loves the Script, and while she's a tad bit young to remember Better Than Ezra in their late 90's prime, they put on a great show as well. Ryan Star was decent, but ultimately forgettable, but the best was definitely saved for last, as Train was absolutely flawless. Mixing their newer material from Save Me San Francisco and California 37 with their older songs, they truly entertained at a high level.

WTMX Miracle on State Street never fails to impress. My husband and I have been seeing this show every year for the last 6 years. There are always a few new acts, and one headliner that is very popular. It is a great way to experience a short taste of the newer bands while enjoying the headliner. It is also a great cause benefitting the La Rabida Childrens Hospital in CHicago. This is a great holiday tradition, thanks WTMX!!

We drove from SE Michigan to see the show. Had heard from a friend that Train puts on a great show. When I saw that Ed Sheeran was part of the bill as well, it was a no brainer. We had recently seen Ed at another venue in Chicago a few months ago.

Train was energetic and put on a great performance, despite the shortened set they had due to Pat's voice not being up to par.

It was clear from the audience's reaction, that they were mostly there for Ed. He definitely is a talented singer, however not as personable as Train.

I really liked newcomer Tristan Prettyman. Her song "Trader Joes" cracked me up. I would have liked to have heard more than 4 songs from her and possibly heard less of Karmin (sorry, not a fan at all of their music, although they were interactive with the audience).

My daughter bought us tickets for this concert for Christmas. We live in Michigan and traveled to Chicago just for the concert. It was a perfect combination as she loves Ed Sheeran and I love Train. We enjoyed very much the opening act and Ed Sheeran was fantastic. He told us he was asked to play longer than usual and we wondered what was up with that at that point but we enjoyed his whole performance. Karmin then took the stage and she was good but it wasn't the right crowd for her. I have no clue why she was chosen to play between the two but she wasn't a good fit. The crowd for the most part was tepid to her performance.

Then Train took the stage. Pat was losing his voice and told us right up front that he had decided to perform but would only be able to sing for as long as his voice held out. We were very disappointed. The concert was wonderful and we loved every minute of them being on stage. They were very gracious and seemed genuinely thankful to all of the fans. I loved that they took "mermaids" up on stage and how Pat took so many pictures on people's phones throughout. He certainly did the best he could with being sick. My disappointment was just in the fact that my daughter had planned this out and spent a great deal of her money to be able to take me to see them and then the concert was so short. Again this was not the fault of anybody and we were just grateful that we still got to see them and that they didn't cancel the concert as we had driven over 5 hours to get there.

Unfortunately, we only got 40 minutes of Patrick and the "Train" gang! However, they were awesome! Feel better Pat, we appreciate your effort and you still sounded great!

Also, it was the first time that my wife and I ever heard of Tristen Prettyman and Ed Sheeran! They were marvelous as well! Went to Best Buy over the weekend to buy both of their CD"s!

Great concert overall.

I love Train, saw them twice last summer asn was blown away. I understand that Pat wasn't feeling well for this show, so I would have completely understood if he cancelled and rescheduled, instead of coming out for 6 songs. Six? That was about 40 minutes. Karmin was a good show.

Despite loosing his voice the day before, Pat Monahan was super. He avoided the really high notes but really rocked it, talking to the crowd, and mingling with the girls on-stage for Beauty in the Water. Little disappointed they were not on stage for a bit longer, would have loved to hear 50 Ways to Say Goodbye, Parachute, Meet Virginia.

Honestly, Ed Sheeran is absolutely amazing to watch perform live. He's so innovative and talented, and a beautiful singer. Tristan Prettyman was hilarious, and Karmin rocked the house. I really loved how Train dedicated a song to the victims of the Connecticut shooting. It was stunning to see everyone send love to them. The whole concert was fantastic and I would recommend the experience to anyone. (As a side note, the Chicago Theatre is gorgeous.) It was great to see performers being real and doing what they do best. xx
