I am not a fan of today's country music. The so called country stars could take a few lessons from Alan Jackson. His music is so very simple and comes straight from the heart. His music is something I never get tired of.

Concert goers were very well behaved and I believe it was simply the respect that Alan Jackson commanded that made the difference. Unlike other concerts I've attended, the volume and the acoustics were excellent which made the concert all that more enjoyable. The song list was also very enjoyable and entertaining.

Alan was great. This was the first time I have seen him live, certainly not the last, I hope! He was better than expected. He really played to audience in Baton Rouge. My jaw hurt from singing all his classics along with him and all his fans!!

Alan Jackson was great!!! He sang song after song with very few breaks. He showed great gentlness toward the little children making sure that they got one of his picks and that he signed autographs for them.

The show was very entertaining--lots of video to accompany his songs. However, I was less interested in the glitz and more interested in hearing him sing solo. Backup band is exceptional, but I would be happier if he took the stage himself and projected his "country boy" image in a simpler way. I guess I miss the days of his early career. Now we can buy a $40.00 T-shirt on the way out. I am glad that he is still touring though.

Had great seats. Alan Jackson is, as always, a gentleman and a GREAT country music singer/songwriter. Loved his show. No ego, no big shot. He walked out promptly, sang his songs beautifully and left his fans happy. Really liked the videos and format.

However, we hated Gloriana. There is NOTHING country about them whatsoever. They said it was their very first AJ show and I'll bet it is their last. How could someone who is the epitomy of traditional country music have some young punks up there screeching bad rock music covers as a warmup? They were pitiful. And, by the way, I do listen to a lot of rock as well, so it isn't that I don't like good music; just don't think they're going to make it on the country charts. At least, I hope not!

I thought the concert was good. He is an awesome singer and not being a country fan, I did enjoy. However, he isn't your normal entertainer. He basically stood in the same spot and tapped his foot. Overall, I did enjoy the music. His music is about things in everyday life which most of us can relate to.

Alan was awesome as usual. He always puts on an excellent show. I like the way he doesn't talk between every song like some artists do. His tribute to his parents on Livin On Love with the pictures on the big screen just shows that he is a real family man. I love Remember When, Where were you when the world stopped turning, and Good Time. He has a way of bringing out so many emotions in a person. I don't know how many Meet and Greets you had with Alan, but it would be nice if there would be a lot more given out - either by the radio station or by the people putting on the show. Maybe Alan has a limit on how many people he can see, which I can understand. We had excellent seats just to the left of the stage on the risers and we were at eye level with Alan when he was on stage, so when he looked our way when he sang, you almost thought he was singing right to you. Thank you so much for bringing Alan to Topeka.

As far as Gloriana - it was really hard to understand what they were saying or singing - the acoustics were really bad. I thought their music was a little too loud - maybe we could have understood what they were saying had the music not been so loud. As far as understanding Alan, I know most of the words to his songs so it didn't bother me as much.

Alan Jackson is very talented and we enjoyed him...he only performed for an hour, though, and we drove 2 1/2 hrs to see him. The arena seating was very uncomfortable, due to the fact that it was hot in there and we were packed in like sardines. I have no desire to go see another concert in an arena...EVER.
We took my down syndrome sister to the concert because she is a HUGE Alan Jackson fan. I looked high and low for the opportunity for her to meet him or anything to make it a little more personal for her, but had no luck. Due to her condition and her health, she'll never have this chance again. She was happy, but I wanted more for her and was willing to spend the money to get it.

This is the 4th time that I've seen Mr. Jackson and his shows are always awesome. He is so down to earth and you can see how much he enjoys doing the shows. When he comes back around this way again we will be sure to go and see him again.
