Being over 40 it was nice to have seen some of the artists that I have grown with and partied to. Lady B has been in the game for a very long time and is a true pioneer of the Philly Hip Hop scene. I hope that she continues to bring us these types of shows for a very long time because I will definetly be there!!!!

Biz Marie didn't show up. Mc lyte hair and attire was like she was just at someone 's BBQ. The crowd wasn't told that biz Marie was not there. Darryl Shuler said it will be lots of surprise guess that I did not see. Lady b did not get on the mic at the end and thank everyone for coming or say good night. Big daddy Kane songs were mixes from the dj. Dougie fresh and other we rapping singing to the music in the background. This show was so corny and not worth the money. I'm pissed

I THOUGHT THE SHOW WAS OK. I THINK THAT LADY B SHOULDN'T HAVE AN OLD SCHOOL SHOW EVERY YEAR BECAUSE SOME OF THOSE ENTERTAINERS WERE VERY DRY, COULDN'T SING ANYMORE OR WAS THEY WERE JUST PLAIN BORING! I THINK I WILL FALL BACK FROM THESE SHOWS FOR AWHILE!

Big daddy Kane was great wished that he could have performed longer or even closed the show. With all his hits he should be able to perform for at least an hour & a half. Not taking anything from the worlds greatest entertainer which he is ,Doug E Fresh is a must for any old school rap show! Kid n play was good got the crowd involved. Another wish for me is that MC lyte was later show & longer also. She was the main person I wanted to see. Glad I got to see her truly the greatest female rapper of all time. The other acts where good just wasn't into old school R& B another show maybe.

This was amazing event to me!!!!! It was a concert/party and I will go every year that Lady B host it!!!! And if your wondering if you should go the answer is YES. I very much so enjoyed myself and I don't like going to concerts.

My only complaint regarding this concert...the sound system was awful. During some of the performances you could barely make out the lyrics. If someone didn't know the artist or the song, they were lost. Have better sound checks prior to having any of the artists perform. Dougie Fresh was the only performer who came across as audible.
This will not deter me from missing any of Lady B's concerts, as long as she promotes them, I will be there to support her, the venue and the headliners.

THEY SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST. BIG DADDY KANE, LOVE HIM. KANE HAD EVERYBODY ON THEIR FEET WHEN HE DID A REPLAY OF HIMSELF JUMPING OVER THE HEAD OF ONE OF HIS DANCERS. DUDE STILL GOT IT AT HIS AGE. VERY NICE PERFORMANCE. FULL FORCE, WAS A BIT BORING. LISA LISA STILL HAS A BEAUTIFUL VOICE( I WONDER IF I TAKE YOU HOME...) I WAS A LIL LATE GETTING TO CONCERT AND MISSED BIZ MARKIE AND SPECIAL ED. IF PUBLIC ENEMY HAD BEEN THERE ,THE WHOLE PLACE WOULD BEEN IN AN UPROAR (FIGHT THE POWER). I LOVED THIS EVENT. My first old school concert and it was ok, lot of songs never heard before, the entertainment was very good, but most of all it was just too much talking althroughout the concert from the stage should of been more entertaining rather then all the rapping(talking) they were doing, it got boring after a while, just sitting and listening to all that mobo jobo, and it took for ever for Doug E Fresh to come out and do his thing. Whatever the concert was ok...let's make it better next time, keep it popping.....

I had an awesome time at this event.....but I will suggest for future events, please have more activities and vendors for us to walk around to see, because if we are there from the starting performance to the last performance, it can break up the day to walk around more.
And the music was great, but of course after being there all day we heard some songs over & over.....just make sure the DJs are repetitive.
Overall, definitely looking forward to next year :-) Bring some of our Hip Hop ladies out....Salt N Pepa, Yo Yo, Latifah, etc....Can't wait!

Took me back to high school! Fabulous music...good food...and an adult crowd! What more could you ask for?! Only drawback was the time in between sets. They kept us entertained with radio personalities and DJ's though. Just would have been nice if there wasn't so much down time. All in all...a great day! Will definitely be attending next year!

all was good except possible the need for more vendors as well as less time in between artist performance. Also wish we would be nice to have a meet and greet with the artist where if they choose to sell their cds we could get an autograph.

This was the first annual Stone Soul Picnic and the performers did not disappoint! Whodini, Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick shut the stage down!!! DJ Touch Tone and Haz Matt did their thing too. I would have loved it, if there were fewer intermissions and some sort of organizaton to the setlist, etc. However; I will give it a pass, since it was the first year for the concert. It is said that this will become an annual event and I am looking forward to see what 93.1 has in store next year...

OMG. The best concert I have been to all year. We had a blast. Whodini, Slick Rich, Doug E Fresh, Christopher Williams, and the rest did the damn thing!! We partied all day. I WILL be there next year.
