Really enjoyed the event. Every musician was incredible. The play of the banjo against the other instruments was really different, and fascinating.

Very uneven....great playing by Bela Fleck and bass player. Much of the rest was very much similar riffs.

Bela Fleck and the Marcus Roberts Trio together was marvelous ! Each of the four musicians was tremendously talented and together it was a marvelous joining of talent. One of the best concerts I have attended.

I am more a fan of Bela than of banjo per se. While it is interesting to see Belas banjo heroes, they aren't really heroes of mine. Most of this shoe was a snorefest until Bela stepped up (and Tony Triska) and let it rip. Overall, relaxing and interesting, but for my concert dollar I need more volume and more energy.

My wife and I saw Bill Keith, Bela Fleck and Tony Triska 30 years ago in NYU and looked forward to seeing these three together again. We are fans of all three through our interest in jazz and bluegrass music. "Sandy" however had other plans for us and we missed the event for lack of gasoline to travel 65 miles each way to attend the concert. Without heat, power and communications we didn't even know if the concert occurred until receiving this survey. Our power came on the day after the concert and we are counting our blessings and happy to be showered and warm again. We hope some video of the concert will become available so we can see what we missed. We rated this five star despite our absence based on the players and their performance careers.

This is a one of a kind event -- you will never sees all these great banjo players together again. They each played individually and then also played several numbers together.
It was a long show -- well worth the money.

Amazing collection of artists. All were wonderful. The format was good as well. The back band was great in their own right. Tony Trischka and Bela Fleck noodling on their own, Dueling banjo/guitar riff. All great. Highly recommended. 3 hours of pure banjo.

Incredible show, Once in a lifetime experience to see all these great banjo players together. At one point I counted 7 banjos players at the same time. Great energy, constant music with a variety of tempos and genres of music. I would love to see it again. I had an extra ticket and took my friend, who does not go to musical performances as much as I do and he was blown away. If you like banjo music, don't miss this show.

All my banjo heroes on one stage! Amazing musicians all around! Diverse styles and approaches of each of the banjo stars provided an enjoyable show for all...not just the enthusiasts and players in the audience.

Overall the show was very good, especially the first half & it's rousing ending with "Dueling Banjos" just prior to intermission. The second half started with an upbeat number & was then followed by several VERY lengthy solos by Bela Fleck. With the exception of the amazing Bach piece, the balance of the solos, despite the admirable talent & capabilities of Fleck, were very, very repetitive & to some extent even boring. Several members of the audience even got up & left after the very long first solo.

My positive recommendation is qualified & conditional, in a hopes of a reconfiguration of the post intermission program.

The talent of of everyone, including & especially the non-banjo musicians, was beyond amazing! Unfortunately, I didn't expect to be a bored at all. I was also surprised that no encore had been prepared

Banjo summit... Ok. It was a lot of banjo.
It was nice to see all those pickers together, but here are my complaints haha
Ok salt creek and red haired boy? Really guys? Those tunes really didn't need to be on the set list. Could've played something not so generic and a little more fun for the fact some of the greatest were on stage. It took a little while for the sound to get some real punch on the banjos. Especially Pete wernick's. speaking of Pete, the whole few minutes he spoke about playing the banjo? Could have been a song and most people really did not want to hear that. It was like a beginners lesson, for a child. It was annoying. I was really glad that there was some claw hammer going on, bob carlin came out for one tune which was cool but would've loved to hear more of him. The guy he backed up was 'ok' an during his set played a pretty cool tune that he destroyed with a wah wah pedal, it was ridiculous, and in bad taste but I'm sure a lot of people actually liked it. Not I. So Noam and tony ripped it up as expected, and bela stole the show with ease. I would've paid the ticket price just for Bela's set it was that good. All in all it was a good show but a little hokey for an actual banjo player and big fan of bluegrass music. Good times though. That's my review!

They were all wonderful, complimenting each other nicely, music wise, otherwise they were joking around as usual. I will admit I did miss the Flecktones and I sincerely hope Bela will return with them to do another Christmas show at the Phillips, last year rocked. I am Bela fan so I am partial to him and I wanted more of him!

It was really a privilege to be able to watch these three Masters at work. It was unfortunate that the sound or acoustics were poor as the drums dominated the the banjo and bass; when you listen to the CD it is not that way.

One doesn't usually expect that the banjo, bass viol and tabla to be compatible instruments. This concert shows how wrong one can be. It was delightful and adventurous. Wonderful! Highly, highly recommended.
