This was an amazing, great show. Ozric's music was perfect, multidimensional and inspiring. These people really know how to make good music with simple and at the same time intricate melodic patterns and solos. This music is a mixture of new age rhythms, pulsating rock sound, synthesizers and electric guitar solos. Great music.

Ed Wynne is from another planet, or maybe there is an alien life force living in his head, controlling and communicating thru the music they create together. That is the only explanation I have for now. ;-)

Opening act(s): Reality Engine. Heavy, psychedelic techno which started off monotonous but then introduced more and more until it blissed out, then deconstructed and started the buildup again. Enjoyed them. @

Location:New Jersey

Band: Fantastic set, great energy, took me on a journey through space.

Crowd: Totally into the vibe, lots of dancing, even more vocal appreciation/applause.

Venue: Beer is expensive. Food is outrageous considering it's prepared in advance and hot held. Sightlines and sound quality are **superb**.

Seats: No pre-assigned seats. You just sit wherever there is space at a table. The wait staff will move you along if you try to leave a gap between you and whoever else is sat there. This is all very well as long as you don't end up sitting with your back to the stage. Sitting down in BB Kings commits you to a minimum $10 spend. Their draft beer (own-branded but made by Magic Hat of Vermont, so decent) is $7 for a pint, so it's not hard to make the minimum.

Location:BB King

Without any vocals or lyrics still Ozric Tentals rocked, playing rifs and timing sequences similar to Yes and then this completely original sound with a full, harmonic overlaid complex structure. Each musician knew where they were and when they were playing. Ozric Tentacles won over many listeners this evening and the BB King atmosphere and sound are always crisp, close and loud.

The ozrics put on an amazing show at this beautiful club BB Kings in Times Square. They played songs from their old CD's and their newest one and we got to see the guitarists son play with them. All the musicians were spot on, no mess ups or slow points. And 6 dollar Magic Hats all night long made it all the better.
