Loved everything, the openers, the headliners, the venue, the hot ass bar tenders, the people... Overall it was an amazing night and I will absolutely be front and center for more shows to come

Come on guys, some of us have to work early! 2 opening acts? Starting your set after 10:30 PM? On a freaking Sunday night? J.H.C.! Cut out Jack Oblivion please! I had to leave early and miss most of Lucero, the reason I went to the show! I missed seeing Ben play anything off of his great EP, my favorite song off the new album, Hey Darlin' Do you Gamble?, and I loved the horns! I'm a diehard, saw the band twice when they came through the Bay Area last time, first at the Independent then the next night at the Crepe Place in Santa Cruz, a tiny spot, and that's being generous to the word tiny! I see them whenever they come to the area.

After picking up the new album a few weeks ago, I almost tore up my tickets. The new album is terrible. The blues brothers called me and said they wanted there sound back. And upon return, please update it a little.
The show started off with all new songs with the big band, swing feel going the whole time. I almost left. Halfway through they lost the jazz ensemble and broke down some of the oldies and played like a real southern hellbilly band they are.
I wouldn't have hated the jazz section had it been for a few songs and only where they added to the song. NO, it is a full on new addition to the band, about as fitting as a silver bullet in the chest. Guess they wont miss my $25 since they will be picking up so many Jonas Brothers fans soon.
Good luck to them and there future. Good day I say!!!!!

Amazing show. Started off with some new stuff, and played a long set with old and new songs. Ben played a song or two off his album and they finished with an amazing encore. Best Lucero show I've been too.

I saw four people on stage the last 5 times that I saw them. This time there were eight of them. The show seemed like a cover band doing Lucero songs. There was a keyboard with an organ sound (not a piano sound). There was a horn section. There was a pedal steel (which is excellent, nice and country). Overall, I left confused. I love Lucero, but the big band is definitely strange and different. Hopefully, the new record doesn't involve this ensemble.

Lucero is touring to support their major label debut. They sounded great with their horn section and played to around 700 people (I'm guessing). The crowd was fully into it and the sound was great.

The show was phenomenal!
Cedric Burnside & Lightnin Malcolm warmed up the room SO well. They had great energy and songs.
Amy LaVere was such an INCREDIBLE surprise. The band was very impressive. If they ever come back -- I'll BE there.
Lucero was fabulous as always! Great energy and crowd interaction, as always.
These guys know how to put on a show --- and obviously they know how to pick out stellar opening bands.
Great show!!!!

The first 45 minutes of the Lucero show at the Masquerade was superlative--the best show by any band I have ever seen, a roaring fantastic experience. After that first 45 minutes it was still great, but every now and then things were just a tiny bit less than that which came earlier. This was my fourth time to see Lucero, and this was by far the best. I predicted that they would play "Tears Don't Matter Much" right near the end, and they did, and I loved it.

Lucero is awesome! I've seen them in person three times now and they always play like they have nowhere else to be. For some reason, the night I saw them, they had a fill-in for regular bassist John Stubblefield (no explanation). Getting to and parking at the Troubadour in West Hollywood can be a pain and it's often difficult to get a good sigh tline, but the gig was totally worth it.

This is the third time I have caught Lucero and I left the show wondering when they will be coming back this way again. They played for over an hour and a half, covering all their albums and doing four new songs that sounded great. Ben did his solo thing and played The War, which is a crowd favorite, and he did some of his songs off his new solo album. This band is so good and should be selling out bigger venues, too bad it might take them going up in flames before the get their dues.
