OMG!!
From the opening song "Spin" to the closing with "Grazing in the Grass", Boney was absoulutely AWESOME. Loved when he came out into the audience during "Contact". The crowd loved it!!! It's always a treat when I get to see this MASTER in action.
Can't wait until my next show in Dec.

Keep doing it to it Boney!!!!!

Boney James' show was the BEST Dang show I've ever seen. I'm old too!
What a great venue, great staff, great experience.
Boney created the vibe from the start, and the audience was really into it, which fed Boney and the band - and the musical magic happened. The pace was awesome - song after song after song. I don't know HOW Boney makes that saxaphone hold a note so long - seemed ethereal. Boney's sense of rhythm was languid - fluid - sinuous. Have I said enough to allow you to "see" that this was one GREAT show? One great musician.

Enjoyed the show immensely!!! Just wasn't long enough. It seemed like he only played for an hour; it could have been an hour & a half. I remember the days when shows were at least 2 hours!!! Lol Anyway, the show was great, the food was good, & I had a wonderful time!! Can't wait 4 him to return; wil be there!!

Boney James interaction with the audience was OK. The best interaction was when he went into the audience and played. Other than that it was just OK. While he is very talented he is just a bit too full of himself. The sound mix was not very good. During some songs the volume of other instruments, especially the guitar and bass, was higher than the saxophone played by Boney James. Isn't the saxophone play supposed to be the headliner? The keyboard and guitar sounds were distorted, not the smooth sound you would expect at a jazz concert. Overall, we were disappointed.

This is the second year in a row I have seen Boney James and he just gets better.
Energetic, fantastic and first rate performance. Great music in a great relaxed setting. A must of anyone who wants a fabulous night of music. Can't wait till he comes back.

Boney James is a true entertainer; at one point he was even standing on the arm rest of the seat behind us! His music is both relaxing but also energizing, and his band is truly talented. I forgot my camera which created a very stressful situation, yet Lina came to the rescue and trusted me to use her phone to take some photos. She saved the night and I cannot thank her enough...she should be promoted!

Boney totally engages the audience as he works hard with his band to deliver the best performance possible. I have seen him several times and ALWAYS an AWESOME experience! His charm and musical expertise always capture those of us listening. Love him and would see him again and again!!!!

My husband has been a huge fan of Boney James, so I got us tickets as a birthday present to him. The show was fantastic! I have to say that I'm a fan now, too. I loved the venue as well. The food was delicious and the service was friendly!

This was my first time at Birchmere but not seeing Boney. Boney and the band put on a high energy & intoxicating show!! Each song took the audience on a musical journey. Boney James and the Beat tour is a must see! The venue was perfect.

Boney & his band showed off tremendously! I've seen him perform numerous times and each time he outdoes himself! He gave me goosies on each & every song! There's nothing like seeing him up close & personal at a venue such as The Birchmere! Will go every time he performs there!

Took my 14 year old sax-playing nephew to hear a pro. Boney James at the Birchmere was the perfect venue to get up close and personal with jazz sax. The crowd was in constant motion - moving to the beat. Boney is a fun performer and kept the night interesting. Good choice of songs - some oldies that I appreciated. Birchmere's menu has really improved since the last time I visited - happy for that, too.
