The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the audience. This was the least enthusiastic audience I've ever seen at a Cowboy Mouth show! How can you not be excited and crazy at on of their shows. I know its Thursday night, but come on, that's part of the experience! I've been to at least 7 shows, all in Chicago and they are wild! So much energy and so much fun. I really thought the band reacted to the lame crowd and didn't have their usual spark. Don't get me wrong, they still put on a terrific show. However, if I were the band the Dallas crowd wouldn't have done much to inspire me back any time soon.

If you've been to one Cowboy Mouth show, you know that you are in for an evening of energy. Cowboy Mouth delivers, the show is all about being involved, which it is pretty tough not to be. This was my 5th Cowboy Mouth show and I enjoyed it as much as every other time.

This is the third time I have attended a Cowboy Mouth show and it truly gets better every time! Their most recent show at State Theatre was truly amazing! The energy they give off have you leaving the show smiling and truly, as Fred would say, glad to be alive! I can't wait to see them again. The venue was an added bonus since it is very intimate you really can get right up close with the band. It is so much nicer than some of the larger venues and I think it contributes to the overall energy of the show. Fred and the entire Cowboy Mouth band know how to put on a one of a kind performance. If you have never seen them......you must go! If you have seen them.....you must go AGAIN!!!!

Cowboy Mouth Rocked the stage from the minute they got on to the final note. So fun. Greatest live band ever! Club diesel was a great venue as well!
It was clean and friendly. Not impressed with the fact that youhave to buy a $2 wristband if you want to go outside.
Bottom line, Cowboy Mouth puts on the most entertaining show.

Always loved Loverboy. They played just like it was years ago. Wonderful. Couldn't say much for Billy Squire though. Left his set 1/2 way through.

I am a Cowboy Mouth concert veteran and this was probably the best show I have seen them perform. The setlist was not the usual fare, and included some tunes I have not seen live before, as well as a couple of good covers. Freddy was as manic as ever and spent a long time hanging with the crowd between Cowboy Mouth and Loverboy. Aside from the energy of a Cowboy Mouth show, the Band's accesibility to their fans definitely sets them apart.

We only saw Billy Squier, Loverboy and most of Cowboy Mouth. They were awesome!!! I thought I didn't know anything from Cowboy Mouth, but I do. The lead singer is quite the showman. He had everybody up and dancing in the crowds. I really liked their performance. Loverboy....I have seen them several times over the past 25 years and they NEVER disappoint. Of course they are a little older, but aren't we all. Mike Reno sounded like he always has. GREAT!! I have never seen Billy Squier before. I really thought he was excellent. I think he had a new band with him, but they all seemed to be enjoying what they were doing and it showed in their set. I would definately go and see him again. I have to say that this concert was the best I have seen in a while. If you get the chance to go see any of them definately go. You will not be disappointed.

It was very crowded with overpriced food and drinks. No crowd control and no signs made it very hard to get to the reserved seating section.
Loverboy was great. Billy Squier had sound problems. He also spent more time playing songs no one knew and had way too many jam fest on the guitar instead of playing songs people really wanted to hear. We left after an hour and a half. Many people left before us and several in the crowd were complaining.

I only caught Loverboy and Billy Squier. Loverboy was the middle act. Mike Reno has had trouble sounding even good in the past. That was not a problem today! He had great volume and range. The crowd was smaller than that for Squier, but it was so much more fun. The band played crowd favorites with lots of energy. Paul Dean kicked ass on guitar, and the bass was a solid player. Matt Frenette was phenomenal manning the drums, giving all he had. Doug Johnson put great emotion into keyboard and backup vocals. I only wish Mike Reno would have had a little more enthusiasm, but that was the only detractor to a great 80-90 minute show.

Granted, Squier is an awesome guitarist. He is still extremely skilled without doubt. However, I did not pay to go to a jam session. Several songs ran 7-10 minutes with the guitar solos. When he would let the audience sing out the words, not many knew what to sing. That should have been a hint to stop trying the sing-a-long. Still, it continued to be an uncomfortable reality. He honestly did not seem excited to be playing. It had the feel of, "This is my job, and my heart is not into entertaining these people. I will entertain myself." We ended up leaving soon after the encore started.

Loverboy is a summer festival favorite, and I would have loved to have another 30 minutes if they could give it. Why weren't the B.C. boys the headliners? I simply do not understand. My rating would have been at least four stars if they could have closed out the night with some well-known driving hits, or even something from their latest album, "Just Getting Started". If Squier headlines again, count me out.

Loverboy rocked the stage. The $30 tickets (plus ticketmaster's fees...) were up close and personal. The $5 tickets were very close as well if you could nudge your way to the front. We all had a great time and Loverboy sounded as good as they ever have.

We arrived to see Cowboy Mouth, Loverboy and Billy Squier. Cowboy Mouth really knew how to have fun and get the audience involved!!! They were so good! I am a new fan!! Loverboy was good but too much bass and just about knocked us out of our seats.
But the highlight of the night was Billy Squier!! He did not disappoint and played for a long time. Great show!

Cowboy Mouth was great fun! Loverboy rocked the house! Billy Squier was less than satisfying! It was like he just wanted to sit up on stage and rock out with the boys than to entertain the crowd. He didn't play much music that anyone recognized and people were all leaving early. He was a disappointment, but the other two ROCKED OUT!!!

I have seen these guys at huge venues (like Jazz Fest) and tiny ones like Mojo's and they always have the same HUGE energy! Last night they played all of my favorites (new and old) and even took requests! Still hoarse from screaming. If you're anywhere near these guys- they're a MUST SEE. In fact, I might have to drive to KC tonight and see them again!

Cowboy Mouth is as much fun today as they were when I use to watch them in the bar scene back in Louisiana. If ever you want to just have a good time and leave feeling good, Cowboy Mouth is the band to go see. One of the best crowd involving bands ever. If you tell yourself that your true music fan then you will love seeing Cowboy Mouth each and everytime you see them. Keep it up guys may you play on forever.

This was one of the most exhilarating concerts I have ever been to in my life. Cowboy Mouth makes you believe that life is this one big party of fun and your time in their House will be remembered fondly for a long time. I have seen over 300 concerts in my ancient time and they shot into the top ten that night. If you really belive in the power of the Mouth, you will be rewarded with a night of clapping, dancing, and screaming for the sheer fun of it. I went with my 19 year old son and he had the same incredible time. He was mad that he didn't drag his friends with him. Just like when Zappa plays Zappa come to town, when Cowboy Mouth comes again, I'll be buying a ticket not only for myself, but for my brother as well. Go...believe...enjoy you red cake with your red spoon.
