The Offspring, as always, were amazing!!! They have great energy and Dexter makes funny comments. However, the Marquee Theater is a retarded venue for a band that has as big of a following as the Offspring do. The Marquee Theater is a tiny, indoor venue, and I think it has a grand total of one fan. Sound quality is okay, but the Mesa Amphitheater would have been much, much better.
Don't get me wrong. The Marquee Theater is a good venue, but not for anyone bigger than Nightwish.

The show was everything I was expecting. They played all of my favorite songs, and even some that I wasn't expecting. I went with my sister and we were rocking out to the very end when they finished the show with "Self Esteem."

The Offspring were awesome!!!! (Although I was surprised at how old they are getting....)
The crowd had great energy with a huge (and frightening, I felt like I was going to get my teeth knocked out) mosh pit. It was tough to stay in the front because the crowd was so wild, and pushy, and there was a better view in the middle (dangerously close to the mosh pit) of the not very large arena. Sitting on the seats that circled the arena was an option, but really, it is soooo much more fun to be in the standing section, jumping up and down to the loud, energetic, and overall great music. I used to not be a fan of Sum 41, but they were surprisingly good, and the lead singer was charismatic and easily roused up the crowd. There were not as many people as I had expected. But I would definitely recommend attending an offspring concert when you get the opportunity!

This was my first time seeing a *real* band live, so I'm probably not the best person to ask....but it was a god-tier event to say the least~ I found a new favorite musician in opening act Frank Turner, with his charming mannerisms and down-to-earth songwriting style; his act was a great way to set the mood for the main set....Sum 41 followed up with an explosive performance that left my voice completely shot for the next week; the performance was so energetic and fast-paced (you pretty much *had* to shout along, Deryck Whibley plays the audience so well) that by the time the Offspring came out, I was ready to pass out from heat exhaustion....I went back, bought two or three bottles of watter from the condiment stand, chugged 'em, and managed to stay alive throughout the Offspring set (which was nothing short of memorable --- they played a lot of old songs, nothing off the first 2 albums but that was expected, plus like half of Smash and Americana, including some rare numbers not often played live, like Walla Walla).
Long story short....I was so blown out by this performance that the 7 1/2-hour drive it took to reach St. Augustine was wholly justified~ All we could think about all the way home was how deliberately awesome that show was. A great first band to see live, if I do say so myself (speaking for both Sum 41 and Offspring, that is)!

so many great hits that the show was more than your money's worth at 1:30 hrs. little talking in between the hits and it's now a big production show with intermission, a far cry from their little club shows in the early '90s.

The concert was amazing, Offspring was more than I could have asked for. Heard acoustic versions of songs that are probably not heard often. Only downfall was that there wasn't much of an opening, and the concert seemed short. NEED BETTER OPENERS! also.....come closer to Toledo, OH

I have been a fan of Offspring since 1993. Every concert rocks. I wish they would go back to playing smaller, more intimate venues here in Detroit. But I will take them anyway I can get them. A few more hours of rockin' would be sweet, too.

This was my seventh Offspring show and my nephew's first. We both had a blast and enjoyed ourselves.
TIme Again was the first opener. Great melodic SoCal punk band. I really enjoyed their set and wouldn't mind seeing them headline at the Fine Line or even First Ave.
Dropkick Murphys was second on the bill. This was my fifth time seeing them and they always put on a fun, energetic show. The fact that I was seeing two of my favorite bands together made this even more worthwhile.
Finally the Offspring took the stage, opening with "Stuff Is Messed Up." The crowd was worked into a frenzy throughout their set. There was an interlude of sorts halfway through, with songs incorporating acoustic guitars and even a piano. It's great to be able to rest a bit and be able to focus on what's going on onstage rather than look out for crowd-surfers. The nephew and I both had a great time!
This was my nephew's first time in the pit and he did far better than I thought he would. He was able to survive up until the last half-hour of the entire night. I'd like to think I prepared him well enough for what to expect in advance and now he knows what to anticipate the next time he gets floor tickets to a show.

The Offspring played their greatest songs from all of their CDs. The music was loud and sounded great and the stage had a good light show going on. In the background they had a wall of lights that had images and videos from different album covers and music videos. It was pretty sweet.

The opening act, Frank Turner, was a pleasant surprise. Sum 41 was ok, and the Offspring were phenomenal. My only complaints are that they didn't play Gone Away, and played nothing from their first two albums. Despite these two problems, the show was a great!
