I have seen Sloan several times over the past 15 years. The last three have been at St. Andrews Hall. Such a great place to see a band that always puts on a fabulous show! I can't wait until the next show!!!

Great show, great band, great crowd! Twice Removed is a classic and sounded great live and in its entirety. Second set of 15 other tunes from all over their catalogue was a blast.

This show was a step back in time and as such it did not disappoint. Sloan put on a dynamic concert that showcased their musical talents. The music was the same as it was when it was first released and that is exactly what I wanted to see. This wasn't the greatest show I have seen, but in terms of 40 something musicians trying to relive their youth after 20 years, it wasn't that bad.

The band came out and jumped right into Twice Removed, which was executed well, but without tons of chemistry or passion. After the first set break, however, Sloan kicked into overdrive and played the rest of the 31-song set with amazing energy and precision. It was a great, great show!

Sloan put on a great show, playing through the fan favorite album, Twice Removed. Then they returned after a short break to knock our collective socks off with hit after hit after hit. The entire venue was singing along, clapping and having a wonderful time. The lads were relaxed and Chris was his usual goofy and exuberant self. Never mind the silver hair, they know how to more rock than all those dyed-black poseurs out there.

St. Andrews Hall was a great venue -- totally fit Sloan's style. My first time seeing them and it was great. The sound was awesome and their music is fantastic. Had a blast! Played for 2 hours and was totally worth going. Highly recommend them!

This is the second time I've seen Sloan at the Bowery (first was 3 -4 years ago, also in June) which is a great place to see them . They varied their playlist slightly from a few nights earlier in Philadelphia at the Kung Fu Necktie, a much smaller club.
Sloan played the entire new record (The Double Cross-XX- for 20 years together) and hit almost every one of their albums through the years. The harmonies were excellent, and all 4 vocalists were pretty much spot on.
If there was a change that I could make, I would revise Andrew's set list. He is the drummer through about 85 % of the songs, but comes up front to play guitar and sing for 4-5 songs. He has some real rockers, and I would've liked to heard a couple of them rather than the selections he did play. His set was still well received. .
I would highly recommend seeing Sloan, a very tight band with some very intelligent and thought provoking lyrics. It's a shame there is no radio outlet for them other than college radio; they just don't fit into a specific format. Sloan is a wonderful pop/rock band with great musicians and solid harmonies. They have a unique versatility from four songwriters and vocalists, which gives you an almost unlimited combination for any show. Go and see them; you'll not be disappointed.

So I've never been a huge fan of Sloan. I always thought they were a bit overrated, however, they themselves put on a nice show. They were good live. The drunk guys were especially funny. But I went to see Magneta Lane who is touring with Sloan. They went on right before. I was a little disappointed when they only played maybe 4 or 5 songs and none of their older ones! Magneta Lane is amazing and truly underrated. They need more credit than they have.
