I have waited over 30 years to see Sylvie Vartan in concert. Even though it was not the usual spectacle with dancing and costume changes, I loved it. She is such an emotional singer using her arms, hands, body, facial expressions and voice to accentuate her songs. The intimate setting was perfect for this show. I was afraid she would sing in English but she did not and sang most of her songs in French. Merci! I hope she comes again soon to New York or Washington.

Location:Atlanta

It was a wonderful show. I will never forget it. It was a very intimate setting with songs carefully chosen for the place and an internationally mixed audience (American, French, Japanese, Italian). Sylvie was gorgeous, friendly, and made us feel at home between friends.

The performance did not take place at Town Hall but I was made aware of the change of venue well ahead of time. I adored the performance but the new venue, even though a great place, was not appropriate for this performer and her audience. Sylvie Vartan is a MONUMENT attracting a rather overexcited crowd which behavior could have been perceived as inappropriate for many people attending the show in such a place. In any case, I was 100% satisfied with both the place and the performance.

Vartan’s unique voice and style cannot be described; It must be experienced to be appreciated. Sylvie is a true star performer in the tradition of Aznavour, Garland and Piaf.
