What an incredible concert! I've seen Styx several times in the past with and without Dennis in the group, but the inclusion of the symphony orchestra on this tour really adds a depth to his music that everyone can appreciate. There was no opening group but DDY doesn't need one. He had a long and well rounded playset including Styx songs and much of his solo work. His new album "100 Years From Now" is great - pick up a copy if you don't have it already. From classic songs with the excellent orchestra, great backup singers including his wife Suzanne, Dennis carrying that famous long note on "Suite Madame Blue", dueling guitars between Tommy Dziallo and former Night Ranger guitarist Jeff Watson, and Dennis' comedy and energy on stage, this was a night to remember. At age 62, Dennis hasn't lost a speck of his vocal range and the quality of his music exceeds the majority of today's groups. If only the record industry would focus on quality instead of quantity..........

The first time I have ever gone to a rock concert that had an Overture. The combination of rock band and orchestra created such a full sound as backdrop for Dennis's voice. Even liked his new music. He is not just a great singer, but an all around entertainer. I would see him again in a minute!

Dennis never dissapoints, still got the pipes @ 62 yrs old, esp. w/ his Symphony Orchestra and really hits home hard personally for me with his dedication to our Soldiers!!!!!!! Incredible that when asked, approx. half the audience had not ever seen him perform in person. WOW!! I realize times are tough but Pavillion ticket prices for only $16.47 and even $10 for the hill, how could people not!! Dennis and Sammy Hagar are the only two R&R Artists that I frequent that don't charge an arm and a leg to see them. Bottom line GO SEE DENNIS AND YOU"LL AGREE, I guarantee.

From the beginning, Dennis had the crowd on their feet. He was great, his voice is so strong and he hits every note. The orchestra added such cool depth to the performance. We enjoyed it from start to finish. Dennis and STYX have always been a favorite of mine. I would highly recommend this concert to anyone.

I took my 14 and 11 year olds to see Dennis as they love the old Styx music. Weather and crowd were not good but Dennis's voice and the band were outstanding!!! Jeff Watson is a great edition as well, even teasing the audience with a couple chords from "Don't tell me you love me" from his Night Ranger days.

I love Dennis and his music is timeless. Watching my kids sing Come Sail Away and Rocking the Paradise was great. My kids were surprised to see a real concert which is different from the "So you think you can dance" shows witha soundtrack that pass for concerts nowadays.

I only wish he would have done "Harry's Hands" it would have been so fitting in Detroit.

Anyway, great show, great songs and a great voice. Thanks Dennis!!!

Fantastic concert. We were in the front row and Dennis was excellent as usual. My kids, who did not grow up with Dennis and Styx, loved the concert. His antics and talking with the audience made it feel like he was with the who audience, while singing throughout. He knows how to rock as well as sing acapella. Over sixty and still rocking. Keep it up, Dennis.

I have been dissapointed this year with the lead singers of most of the 70s and 80s bands due to less than average vocals. Some have been so bad I felt sorry for them. DeYoung was not only hitting notes on target he had a most powerful voice. Very impressive for a 62 year old. My wife went to the concert despite not feeling well and said to me after the concert that it was the best concert she has seen in many years. (she had never seen STYX in in their hayday). I personally was looking for resemblance of the former band and left the concert very happy. Dennis worked the stage like the pro he always was and is, and was entertaining and witty. The orchestra was a added benifit to a well drawn out concert. Great job Dennis and the band!!!!!

Amazing, that's what it was, I wished the show would never end! I loved all the old classics played, and enjoyed the new songs Dennis played off his new album. The band members and the rock orchestra was a "see to believe" experience. I hope Dennis continues to come to Detroit to blow us all away!!! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to have a true night to remember, even if you don't know ANY songs, after hearing him you are sure be a Dennis Deyoung fan for years to come!!!

The whole show was terrific. The rock symphony added a truly amazing sound to the already amazing rock band. Dennis DeYoung's voice has a better quality to it now that it did in the past. He is a real showman and puts on a great event. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.

Dennis De young put on a unforgettable concert. Dennis and his symphonic orchestra/band did all the songs that made Styx one of the best classic rock bands.
Mr. Roboto & Suite Madem Blue & Lady, were outstanding.
Dennis did most of his solo songs without missing a beat.
Dennis De Young does not need"Tommy Shaw" to put on an unforgettably Styx experiance.

Despite the ugly weather and small crowd, what a show! Dennis DeYoung hasn't lost a thing. His voice has all the range, power, and inflection as we're used to hearing in the old Styx albums. Since they broke up, I've seen Styx and I've seen Dennis DeYoung. There is no debate in my mind that this is the authentic Styx show.

Every time I see Dennis Deyoung, it gets better and better. This was no exception. While Dennis is a fantastic performer, he is also a very funny guy. When he wasn't singing he had the crowd laughing.

Dennis put on a solid show, stayed true to the original renditions of the songs, yet added just enough variation to keep things interesting. Lousy weather kept the attendance way down, but still engaged.

The show with Dennis DeYoung was disappointing to me. I have seen Dennis DeYoung about 7 times. I love him and his voice. I am usually in awe at the way he sings and his concert. However, this time I was disappointed due to Dennis being sick. I feel he should have canceled his show and rescheduled it for a later date.

Dennis still has it. Great voice, great show, great sense of humor and his new song is the best he has ever written - "100 years from now"

Wait staff at BB King was the worst, maybe it was just our waitress. She looked totally spaced out. did not understand the simplest order. Friend at another table were going up to bar for drinks because she was so bad. but were not there for the food, (by the way pulled pork should be pulled not giant hunks of pork in a roll, we called it - not so pulled pork)
