Julio was not happy with his band and kept admonishing them in front of the audience. He seemed forgetful during a monologue of a punchline and sang the same song 3X!
He needs to remember that the audience is expecting favourite hits that we can relate to and not obscure songs that we are not familiar with.
I think it's time to retire, Julio.

Julio Iglesias gave an amazing concert filled with Passion, Love and Music. No fancy set, no fancy dancers- just pure talent. Something that you just don't see anymore. He sang for almost 2 hours and sang in English, Italian, Spanish and French. Even though I only speak English- I could still connect with Iglesias through music. It was a great night and I didn't want him to go!

This was a great performance that my husband and I really enjoyed. The singing was wonderful and shows Julio Iglesias's true talents. Wished the show was a bit longer.
Would see him perform again since he is ageless in his abilities as an entertainer.

Be prepared for a very short set of songs (50 minutes). His singing and entertainment capabilities are all still there considering his age. His dancers were excellent (tango) and the backup singers and band were impeccable. However there was much tension between the venue stage sound manager and Julio. Julio requested multiple times for sound adjustments and the sound manager would indicate there's not much he can do up until Julio insisted with a better sound check during one of the performances after he actually stopped in the middle of the performance! I've never seen this at any concert!! The sound manager continued inattentive and at times indifferent. The setting at Montalvo is intimate and the audience is really close to the small stage, this separates this venue from many others in the bay area and is a definite plus, except when something like this happens. The tension went from entertaining at first to very awkward and the audience was perplexed. To top things for the worst, during one of his songs the audience was treated to a major sound 'problem' when the backup singers could not keep up with the speeding up tempo going from normal to Minnie Mouse/Elvin and the Chipmunks in a matter of seconds. Julio Iglesias was clearly very upset! The track had to be re-started and it was embarrassingly clear that the singers were lip singing this song. -This is the worst nightmare for any performer! -
Asides from the technical lack of readiness, the performance was enjoyable and Julio sang in multiple languages and diverse rhythms to please the forever romantics, the nostalgic couples and the passionate dancers in all of us as we danced in our seats and sang quietly to his enchanting voice. Villa Montalvo is an excellent venue for intimate concerts, but is abundantly clear that the logistics are unsupervised from sound management to transportation. The shuttle is complimentary and convenient but there were literally dozens of people upset at the end of the concert when we had to wait an hour in a half for the 30-people shuttles with only 5 in use for over 900 concert goers waiting for them to get to their cars from 9pm to 10:30pm.

This just sucked, I wanted to hear Julio's music, not Elvis nor Frank Sinatra or any otherone. I would't waste my money on Julio ever again.

This was my first time seeing Julio, felt special from the start as he made sure EVERY lady was given a long stemmed red rose! He sounds and looks incredible. Is funny and extremely SEXY!

Obviously a big name from a prior era, reaching a height of popularity in the 70's, which was before I was old enough to be a big fan of "the music of love". But Julio is still Julio and this was a great experience to hear the great voice of a man of true style from a bygone time.
My favorite album was La Carretara and was a little disappointed by lack of music from this album.

My sister and I took my Mom to Julio for her 76th Birthday. She seemed to have a pretty good time. However, I was not impressed with the sound system or the atmosphere on stage. It seemed a little drab. There was just the band all in black and all the equipment draped in black cloth. Julio rarely came to the front of the stage while signing and remained close to his band mates. He talked about sex a lot which grossed me out given his age. He also, kissed his dancer and back up signers like they were part of his heirum. Anyway, his big fans seemed to enjoy it, but I just went to a Madonna Concert for $20 more than what I spent on Julio and got way more entertainment for the money I spent.

It was the "JULIO" I knew all over again...great show...barring the great Rafael Ferro, the band leader and the beautiful sexy dancers/backup singers, the rest of thr band was pretty cheesy....specialy the guitar player was useless...!!!
Julio, Have Rafael put together a better band next time....

I was very dissapointed with Julio Iglesias' performance. The show was less than 2 hours long and the quality of the overall show was poor from the mucisians to the dancers. I would've thought Julio would surround himself with the best, but that was not the case. The mucisians were poorly dressed and the dancers were just ok.
His song selection was extremely dissapointing. He didnt even sing one of his classics. Everybody knows him and his music, and the audience was mixed with all different nationalities, and I am sure they were also hoping to see him sing the songs that made him big. He only sang those that any other singer could sing. There was nothgin special about the songs he selected that were not even his!!!!
I took my mom to the show as part of her Mother's Day present and we both left very dissaponted. The money I paid was not worth it. I couldve listened to the same songs by any other artist for free and be content. I went to listen to his music not to see him sing the songs of other artists!!!!!!

Julio Iglesias was unbelievable. His show is so entertaining. He's sexy, funny, charismatic and of course. "still" has the most beautiful voice! He has wonderful dancers in his show-very sexy, & veryl, verrrrrrry talented. He talked to the audience during his show & it just made it so personal. I have seen him 3 times & I think this show was the best ever.

OMG was he hot or what. The duet was amazing it was very sexy and hot. I loved it. He was awesome. I was singing his songs louder than anyone and I am only 38! I had all those women going dang you know these songs. I took my mom there for her birthday and she cried. It was great I love him...his son is great also but he is not as sexy as daddy! I am glad I went considering it was his last one in California. I would have been very unhappy to miss it.
