One of the best musical and dance performances I've seen. Preservation Hall Jazz Band always puts on a good show. The dancers in the Trey Macintyre Project were unbelievably talented!

With such a rich history of great music, why would The Preservation Hall Jazz Band lend it's name and reputation to this joint venture? It turns out it is a risk worth taking! Although there were a couple of numbers when I was not moved by the dance, I was then able to concentrate on the excellent music. I was a little skeptical of the idea, but I think the collaboration made both the music and the dance better.

There were three of us in our party and we saw Preservation Hall Jazz Band & Trey McIntyre Project. This was a great opportunity to see two unique performances combined into one show. The crowd favored the band by applauding louder for them. I find the lack of participation with the audience to be a distraction when seeing shows in San Diego and the audience really responded better in the second half of the performance. Great performers. You could tell they were having as much fun as we did watching them.

What a fun, entertaining event! I would recommend to anyone who loves New Orleans. My husband and I can't stop talking about the music and the dancers. We especially loved the skeleton costumes.

Opening act(s): PHJB and yet the ticket was marketed as an evening with them...classic "bait and switch"...I will not be attending anymore in this "series"...thank heavens, Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas and Jon Cleary were not part of this "artsy"fiasco... @

This was not an evening of the PHJB...sadly, after a few songs, they became the back-up band for a group of dancers...at best, these dancers were little more than an evening with students in the K-12 program. As a former chair of theatre arts at the University of San Diego, recent visitor to New Orleans and a dancer myself, the evening was little more than an insulting waste of my time...fortunately, my guest had his cell phone and could check messages,,,PHJB has been in existence for over 50 years...having seen them many times before, I truly looked forward to this evening...

Great little venue to see a great little band. Attucks Theatre was like a club setting. sound was great, and boy do these seven guys make a sound. Brilliant solos by Mark Braud. Energy and enthusiam throughout the night. Doesn't get any better than this.

Very enjoyable performance in an appropriate venue with good acoustics. Music was great and even the 'new' songs/arrangements were excellent. I'd have liked a few more classic Dixieland tunes, but can't complain as the artists were excellent-very talented! Parking leaves a little to be desired

What a fantastic night of entertainment!!!
These guys are immensely talented musicians and consummate entertainers.
They play such a great variety of music - original and otherwise.
If you ever get a chance, the "Preservation Hall Jazz Band" is a must see live.
Put it on your bucket list.
I'm sure they will move you, as well as put a smile on your face, with their
incredible musical virtuosity and showmanship.

I have been a follower of this band since the mid-seventies. My first show had the Humphrey brothers, Narvin Kimball and Frank Demond and it was at Alice Tulley Hall at Lincoln Center. Thirty years later the more things change the more they stay the same. These guys are amazing! They deliver a top notch show not missing a beat. They engage the audience to participate, I miss the marching to 'Saints'. I even brought my Mardi Gras umbrella. That always brought the house down. TWO TUBAS!! Mr. Jaffee runs a tight ship fulfilling his parents legacy.

First time seeing this wonderful, very talented group of musicians. It was a taste of New Orleans practically on my doorstep. Fun, entertaining and the perfect length for a holiday concert. Would I see them again? Definitely!
