Hiroshima was OFF DA CHAIN!!!

Favorite moment: Meeting the band after show. Keyboardist used to play with Frankie Beverly. Told him I was an original 1972 fan...he gave me a pound...AWESOME!!! @

Setlist: "1 Wish" was the finale. For my friend who was with us, it happened to have been the first jazz song that got him hooked on the genre. The band loved it when he shared that info. He bought it for his ipod, before he left the lobby. @

They get better every time I see them. Best night out in forever. The drums were breathtaking, Bass Guitarist very cool, Dan on Sax yummy and June on Koto amazing.

I wasn't really sure what to expect, but was truly overwhelmed by what I got! Very smooth, highly stylized music presentation. If you like jazz fusion, Hiroshima is a must-see, must-hear experience. While she won't admit it, June Kuramoto may well be the best koto player in the world. She is clearly the best in the United States. She makes that ancient instrument rock! And taiko player Shoji Kameda, the newest member of the group, brings something very special to this unique ensemble -- and it's guaranteed to get your head bobbing and your feet tapping.

This performance was pitch-perfect and flawless. It was just like being in a studio session where the group nailed each track on the first take.

June Kuramo was stunning on the koto and Shoji Kameda rocked the house with his performance on the.taiko.

Hiroshima is a must see.

The performance of Hiroshima was outstanding and unforgettable. It was actually better than the first time I saw their performance at Merriweather a few years back. When they come again, I will be there Again! I love their music and them God Bless!

We had not seen Hiroshima since the 1970's. They were fantastic. Enjoyed the old numbers as well as the new and purchased a signed copy of their new CD at the Birchmere.

I (We) have almost every album (CD) these guys have ever recorded. I am absolutely overwhelmed by the perfection this group has achieved over the course of their career. They have always been well above par but I feel that they are well above musicians in their craft simply because they are so totally committed to total mastery of both their instruments and the study of jazz and the progression of many artist involved that endeavour over the years. To watch this group play makes one aware of just how much love they all have for their music. I lived in Japan for almost 4 years, and I can truly say that I have never seen the Kyoto and Taicho drums performed as this group does. They have a leader true, but they are all contributing as composers, players and equals. Their efforts make me feel that we should attempt achieve the same level of absolute perfection and dedication for the sake of us all! Thank you for the experience. Listening to them play makes you realize the depth of their understanding of jazz because you can literally hear the influence of the various artist in their music. Miles Davis used to bring me to an emtional level that was unsurpassed by any other group or artist. I must tell that this group has forever elevated me beyond that an I feel that is not an easy task to accomplish. Please keep this group coming and to let us know when and where.

I have been to several performances over the years at the SF Station, the music isgreat, just close your eye's ans let your hearing and senses do the "walking" :)

It has been a while since I attented a Jazz festival and with Hiroshima as part of it. I consider myself a fan of the group and was thouroghly pleased that I got to watch them this time. Still amazing, entertaining, and original. Nothing like them; including the Tyko drums and the Koto strings. June is and will always be a one of a kind.

This was the sixth or seventh time I have seen Hiroshima in concert. These guys were on fire and performed flawlessly at the Birchmere. Can't wait for their new album and for their next return visit.

This is the first time I have seen them live. I had hoped for older songs that I knew but they played a great deal of new music (which is ok). I didn't really enjoy their new singer (a man) thus they didn't play any songs that the women singers did earlier in their career that I really enjoyed. Be that as it may I still really enjoyed it
