Tesla ROCKED The LC, Again!

The LC has become home to bands like Tesla. They have played numorous times since the venue has opened. Playing both indoors and outdoors.

Opening band Simo played a solid hour set. The 3 piece band did a great job on their originals. Definately a band to see.

If the show was not sold out, I would be surprised. A PACKED house rocked for over an hour and a half to all original songs from their first album Mechanical Resonance (Modern Day Cowboy, Cumin' Atcha Live) to their last studio album Forever More (I Wanna Live), They are set to do another studio album in the near future.

Starting with Cumin' Atcha Live (really the only opening song they should use), Frank Hannon and Dave Rude started the guitar opening with perfection. Brian Wheat and Troy Luccetta are the perfect backbone of the band. Then Jeff Keith hit center stage with all his sway and perfect voice.

The band played all "the hits" you hear every time you see a show. Some minor changes, lead to more interesting parts of some of the songs. Always one of the fan favorites is Love Song. Always starting out with the acoustic picking of Frank Hannon and Dave Rude. But before they hit into Love Song, they played part of Gypsy Highway. That song is on Frank's solo album Gypsy Highway. He even pulled out a thumb pick to play the guitar as it should be from that album. Check it out.

One of the highlights of any Tesla show is Heaven's Trail (No Way Out). That song from their second studio album The Great Radio Controversy, was the first song I fell in love with Tesla. The bottle slide solo is the best. Always a great moment for me personally. Frank handed me his pick at the end of that song. We go way back when his message board was active. Before the band got back together 10 years ago.

Look forward to the next show. As always, Tesla is #1 in my book.

Show was unbelievable -- Midland Theater and Tesla ... that combination had me with chills for most of the performance. The fact that it was an acoustic tour only added to the event! I'd do it again and again and again

Fairly short show (1hr 45min), and rehersed minimal interaction with the audience. BUT, when it comes right down to it, it's all about the music, so the most important question is "how did they sound?" And, they sounded outstanding!!!! I really wasn't expecting them to sound that good at this stage in their career, but they really impressed the hell out of me... Awesome show!!!! I would definitely pay to see them again!

Tesla is a great band to see live. They know how to please the crowd and give a great show. It was a real pleasure to see them in concert and I will go see them when they come again. I would say if you like rock and roll and want to get your moneys worth go see this band. Loved it!

A top seller in the 80's and 90's, Tesla still rocks hard and well. They have mellowed, as has the crowd. This isn't a 1980 David Lee Roth, kick boxing the crowd, nor is it worn out old guys, but it is rock we expect, at a slighter mellower scale than in our youth. Lead man singer Jeff Keith frolics on the stage, dancing and howling. While his upper range croaks a bit after so many years of loud music, he hammers the tunes like a true rocker, more subdued perhaps than in his youth but enough to elate this crowd. Lead guitarist Frank Hannon has the presence of a real rocker, reserved mostly but biting us with his incredible guitar licks. Bass guitarist Brian Wheat gives a dependable beat and a giant presence. Drummer Troy Luccketta didn't miss a beat and kept the band together. Baby faced Dave Rude can pick as fast as Hannon and threw his considerable mane around, making for more than enough awesome metal guitar on stage along with Hannon and Wheat. The Emerald Queen is what one expects of a casino, vices, smoke, people losing money, but the food is good and inexpensive, as is the beer, there is a non-smoking section, lots to do, and the whole thing works well. Sound was clear and loud but not too loud: I didn't have to stick paper in my ears as I used to have to going to Nirvana and Van Halen in my college years. There is no mosh pit, no dangerous flailing, no drugs, no trashed drunk people, but plenty of happy rockers. I'd do this again!

Great show. Venue wasn't the best, so sound could have been better, but the band was still great. No surprises, they played all the songs you wanted and expected. I went to a concert from another band recently, and they played in a style that was unexpected, and played new songs I didn't recognize or like. Not so with Tesla, you know what you're getting.

Nothing against Dave Rude, but I still miss Tommy.

I've seen Tesla around 10 times now at various places. Silver Legacy was not my favorite. Bought tickets minute they went on sale. Ended up with 15 row. Was trying to stay positive til i got there and was in the last row on the floor, Had to see when your short. Tesla is by far my favorite band. They played about 1 hr 20 mins. Seemed in a huge hurry to get off the stage and go home. Found out from a Roadie they were driving home that same night for another show in SF next day. Jeff never introduced or gave credit to the other members of the band as he usually does. Just seemed rushed to play and get off stage.

The Legacy is such a great venue for these rocks shows. It is small enough that all seats are good, three large screens project to the crowd in back, and the sound has good quality. Tesla sounded great and worked the crowd. We stood and danced for the entire show. We were most impressed by JK's vocals and high energy! Great show!!!
