I have attended Leon Russell concerts since 1969. He has always been a master musician and performer but what I alway got a kick out of was the fact that Leon would come on stage, nod his head, play for two hours without stopping, never acknowledge the crowd, take care of business as only he can, say thank you and walk off with his cane, get on his scooter and go to his bus.
This was the first time in all these years he talked to the crowd and interacted talking about his birthday, the story of his legendary green top hat and the start of the Mad Dog and Englishman tour with Cocker. I was in shock. It was his best performance ever and the band has fantastic musicians to go along with it. I was there at the Filmore East for the mad dog tour and can tell you....Leon still has it!

When I lived in Michigan, I would always go see Leon at the Magic Bag in Ferndale. Sure miss his concerts in the small venue. Leon is still amazing and love his music.
I have an autographed ticket stub from Leon from years past.
Come back to Orlando Leon!!!

He came out on time, played a strong solid set with a mix of old and new and put on a thoroughly enjoyable show. His band was solid and, although Leon looked a little frail walking on stage, once he sat down and started playing he sounded like a young Leon Rusell. He was particularly good on a couple of solo numbers with his unmistakable twangy baritone.

Leon Russell and his band are awesome together, and I enjoyed every minute of the show. He had the whole place young and older rocking & rolling with almost nonstop great tunes. I have been to many of his shows over the years, and I hope to see him again next year at South Lake Tahoe!

Unforgettable experience. Sound wasn't bad, if a little loud. Looked like his band was having a bit of a tough time keeping up with him. At 70 he made need a cane to get around, but age hasn't touched his voice, talent or energy.

I'm a regular concert goer and seeing Leon Russell exceeded my expectations. It was truly one of the best concerts I've seen in years. Russell's voice sounded as perfect as it did 30 years ago. I enjoyed his hits of Stranger in a Strange Land, Delta Lady, Tightrope, and Lady Blue. However, his version of Kansas City, Papa Was a Rolling Stone, Wild Horses, Jumping Jack Flash and Roll Over Beethoven were truly a joy. If you ever have the chance to see this musical legend, jump at the chance.

what a great concert in a very intimate venue. every seat has a great view. and for those that enjoy a beverage during the show waitress service is available and a bar is in the venue . leon was on talking and joking with us between numbers . he did a short show just under 1 1/2 hrs but it was filled with hits .

If you want ear damage go see Leon Russell. It was so loud I could not hear Leon at times. He was drowned out by the other musicians competing with each other. The base was so loud I was concerned the vibration would liquify my spleen. I tried to get my money back after I left 25 minutes into it. The staff at Boulder Station said they tried all after noon to get Leon to turn it down. He insisted on the volume.

In addition to still rocking his own songs, Leon has a great ear for contemporary writers, picks great tunes from their libraries and puts his indelible signature on those tunes. He is what Rock and Roll was.
His piano work is inimitable, he has a great band, and he still sings from the heart. He sounds great, and it seems to be effortless

Everything was going fairly good at the start some what on the very loud side. The third song the sound man cranked it even louder UNBEARABLE. After about 20 seconds of that rib and jaw vibrating noise had to leave. 2 ushers agreed with our complaint. Management at Bolder Station said its a concert, no refund, I have been to many concerts nothing like this.I think maybe the band was covering his old voice. I understand that there is no refund or exchanges policy but, some form of compensation would be nice.

i could not hear leon play keyboard guitars way to loud and lead guitar not very good was it really leon under beard and hat,? they didn t even get an encore talking stick casino a beautiful place. my seat was awsome.

Not a stellar effort by Mr. Russell, he played a few of his more popular songs and a few songs written by others. With his impressive resume, I would rather hear more depth into his personal catalog, maybe some rarities like something from Asylum Choir? I just consider my ticket price as a contribution to the retirement fund of a well-respected artist.
