Featured Review

Smokey Robinson performed for two hours without intermission, and gave us a tremendous show for the money. He sang almost all his older, well known songs, as well as new ones and told stories in between about some of the songs, and other fantastic Motown artists such as Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.

Smokey is a sultry, sensual and charming entertainer; He knows how to work a crowd. He genuinely loves his fans and included us in a singing contest during "Cruising" getting all of us on our feet, dancing, clapping and smiling. His voice has seemed to improve and he sounded amazing.

What a wonderful man and artist he is. He's still got it after all these years, he just keeps getting better; thank you Smokey, for an unforgettable evening. My mother and I didn't want it to end!

Favorite moment: His own rendition of "Who's Loving You" is definitely one of my favorite moments. But "Cruisin" is still the all-time favorite. @

Is this man for real? From the moment he graced the stage in his classy purple suit, Smokey Robinson had the crowd on its feet with Going to A Go Go. It was non-stop Smokey oldies that kept the crowd singing so loudly that it seemed to add fuel to Smokey's already sizzling fire. And he sizzled!! It was hard to tell if he was working the crowd or they were working him. His "Ooo Baby Baby" brought the fairgoers to their feet. They were up and down as Smokey brought Motown to Orange County. His voice, his energy, his enthusiasm, his humor created an amazing feel-good concert. There were 4 generations of Smokey fans who knew the words to his songs! How amazing is that? He was beautiful and his voice was soothing one minute, intimate the next and when he closed with "Cruisin'" ... he brought the house down. Keep on smokin' Smokey!!

Four of us attended the concert that night & we all had the same comment: Simply fantastic show! We were all very impressed with his performance which soared way above any of our expectations. The consumate performer with an unbelievable back up band to boot! What a great time we had. I would fervently recommend this show to people of all ages, especially if you love Motown! We are definitely planning on attending another one of his shows in the near future. Trust me, it's well worth the price of admission. Keep rocking Smokey we love your music & your style..............

Seeing Smokey was Wonderful. He played all the songs that I wanted to hear as well as danced around the stage. He was very youthful and entertaining. I was disappointed that it had to end.

The show was worth every minute and every penny for the ticket. Smokey's show was a 2 hour spectacular. The older he gets the better he performs.

The show was wonderful! Smokey sang, danced, and joked with the audience all evening. He said we were all there to have a good time and that's just what he made happen. Smokey's rendition of "Ooh Baby Baby" took me back to days which still produce a smile. My husband who is not a dancer, was on his feet swaying to the music and singing along with the crowd. Quite a feat! But hey, it was Smokey!

My wife and I truly enjoyed Smokey. He puts on a really great show. The North room at the Tropicana was an excellent place for this show. That were really no bad seats in the place. Let me know when the O'Jays or the Stylistics will be coming to your casino.

The show was GREAT!! Smokey's voice was crystal clear and the array of music he performed was fantastic. I'm not sure the dancers added anything. They were good, but seemed more of an after thought. Smokey's humorous was a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this show to the young and old alike. It definitely worth seeing!

The show was very good, Smokey was great he never could dance ,but he don't have too.He still looks good and sings out of this world. And his band and singers are very good, the horn guy is phenomenal.It's been years since I've seen him but believe me he stillgot it!

The Smokey Robinson show at the Tropicana was worth every effort. It was one of the best shows I have seen. Smokey's show was not only entertaining, but engaging as well. The audience was having a wonderful time and the energy was felt throughout the showroom. We were singing, laughing, clapping, and tearing (Yes! Smokey brought some to tears). I am so happy I went to see him, I love Smokey Robinson's music, he is a gifted artist, song writer, and producer. I loved every moment.

Smokey Robinson will always be the one that sings music for lovers. His voice sounded amazing. Better than his recordings! He was so entertaining and also funny. The only thing I did not enjoy were his two female dancers. They were distracting, awkward and off-beat. He doesn't need them on his stage!

It was great to watch a living legend! A Motown legend to be exact! Smokey is Music in the industry. He writes, he produces, he performs, he does it all. The brother manages to still be a "Ladies' man" with good looks and the charm. He's got it all. I enjoyed watching his performance.

After all these years Smokey still got it. The show was outstanding. His voice sounds great, he looks great and is oh so sexy........................ Age is definitely just a number to him. I love him. The band was good and the dancers added a little something to the show. Wish I could have gone back on Saturday night too.
