The six of us who attended the Moody Blues concert last night at the Orange County Fair couldn't have been more impressed with the quality of the groups vocals and musical abilities. After 40 years, the Moody Blues still sound as great as they did in their heyday. The crowd went wild when they played their hits-Wildest Dreams, Nights In White Satin, Tuesday Afternoon, The Voice, Question, Ride My Seasaw, I'm Just A Singer In A Rock and Roll Band.......so many songs that bring back memories. There has never been another band that compares with the style and sound of the Moody Blues. They have their own sound, and it's GREAT!!!

Moody Blues - Awesome Performers

I've seen them twice, and they put on a great show both times. Like the Eagles, they're real pros. They do every song the way you remember it, and as though it was their first time instead of their 1,000th. There aren't many bands I'd see twice... Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty... and I hope to seem them all, and Moody Blues, again. Seriously, if you like their music you'll love them live.

After all these years, these guys still are sizzlin HOT!! They played like they were teenagers and had an entirely captive lively audience to match! This show matched many recent shows I've seen such as Phil Collins, Staind,Rush, and several others in it's intensity and electricity!! I've seen these guys about three times prior to this show, but I have to say this one was one of the best!!!! Keep it up guys!!! You've still got it!!!

The music from this show brough me back when I use to go evey time I had enough money to see a group I loved to see and hear. The music transformed every one at Radio City from over 50 to under 25. It seemed as if it would never end and the group just kept going on, but it had to end. Great show great group recommend it to eveyone must see before its to late.

I'm still feeling the buzz from this, 12 days after the fact. First Moody Blues live performance I've ever had the privilege to attend. OUTSTANDING concert. Their music is incredible and the delivery has if anything improved over the years. Can't wait for the next tour!!!

I've always wanted to see the Moody Blues perform, and finally got the chance. From the moment they took the stage, they captured the audience with their amazing sound and so many of their musical treasures. Justin and John's voices were spot on, and Graeme's presence on stage and at the drums really rounded out the originial trio of artists. Gordan Marshall managed a second set of drums of splendedly, and has been with the band since around 1990. He and Graeme's playing really complimented each other. One of the biggest and surprises was flautist Norda Mullen, who belted out the flute lines for many of the songs with intense and emotional precision, adding a bit of her own style, while retaining enough of the Ray Thomas interpretation to make the results feel like true Moody Blues. She added some back up vocals and guitar, and really helped round out the show. They performed all of their most popular songs in a 20+ song set, and absolutely brought the house down. If anyone wants to experience the Moody's, this is the tour won't let you down. Music to my ears...

The Moody Blues provided a soundtrack for my college days in the late '70s. To finally get a chance to see them in person was terrific. Seeing them at Radio City Music Hall, with a crowd full of loyal fans was even better. I'm Just a Singer, Ride My See-Saw, Tuesday Afternoon were songs that got a workout on my LP player. They still have a rich sound and have survived the years. Newer songs like Your Wildest Dreams and I Know You're Out There Somewhere really have a strong following. And of course, Nights in White Satin, is the song everyone comes to hear. These guys still have a strong energy and connect with their fans. This isn't a Bruce Springsteen concert, but it's a very pleasant experience.

This was the fourth time to see the Moodies and they did not disappoint. I would have been surprised otherwise. The venue was under the trees at the Botanical Garden and the weather was agreeable under a full moon. The band was tight and played to a willing crowd of mostly their generation. This was the first time I have seen them do two sets but the break in the show was well timed and allowed the crowd to "break" without missing anything. The set list was comprehensive with a few songs I had never heard them play. All were well done and Justin's voice was as pure as ever.
A great show that I will remember for a long time, at least until I have another opportunity to see the Moodies again.

It was great seeing these guys again after 20 plus year. I have seen them at least 4 other times in my life and most were outdoor venues. The night's weather was grand! The only problem with this venue was the sound sysytem. It was a little weak for those of us in the rear of the lawn..they 'knew we were out there somewhere'.

I thought the Moody Blues was a good concert, but after seeing them 3 other times with the Memphis symphony orchestra I was disappointed this time.I also thought that the music wasn't near loud enough but very clean & clear. The setting at the Botancial Gardens is fantastic but I could hear way too many around me talking & on cell phones.Great band & they still sound great!!!!!

What a grand performance! Five of us drove to Memphis from Mississippi and we were truly glad we did. The Moody Blues have only gotten better with time. And the outdoors performance under the stars at the Memphis Botanical Gardens only added to the experience.

Seeing the Moody Blues was another wonderful experience. The venue at the Memphis Botanic Garden was fabulous. The place was packed and ready for the concert well before the 8:30 start. The pre-concert and intermission music was The Moody Blues. What an outstanding way to get in the 'mood.' The band performed flawlessly and the songs were as good as ever. A few new songs made the set list, among them Driftwood. Perfect.
All in all, the concert was as good as expected. Can't wait for 2010.

The Moody Blues concert at the Garden was testament to their time tested success during the past four decades. They wasted no time in getting the "mood" set for their fans from the very first song. Their two music sets were balanced perfectly with ballads, rock and roll and, and videograpy backing up themed "psychodelic" melodies. The Moody Blues shown themselves very much to be seasoned musicians both appreciative of their own success and the loyalty of their fans. The venue was perfect.

I had forgotten how many years the Moody Blues have been around. It was amazing to hear so many of the classics plus the deep album cuts. the deep cuts personalized the performance as well as opening up some of the songs you rarely here. The engineering, and production were great almost a PINK FLOYD feel to it. The garden was the perfect setting for a romantic evening.
