Favorite moment: Melanie imitating the french accent of Gilbert Becaud, when she described how he advised her in the parisian Olympia back in 1968 (or was it 1969?) @

As fans for decades, we are following Melanie on her tours whenever she comes back to the US East Coast. This venue was a community College in New Jersy, about half an hour south of Philly.
The theater was only filled about 35% (estimated), which was sad, because Melanie was in great shape and in a good mood. Funny as always, and a bit cynical, she sang a great collection of old and new songs. She asked people for requests, and some were granted. Her son Beau, a great guitar virtuoso, was accompanying her as usual. She was singing more and talking less than the years before, so the song list is pretty long.
She played for over 2 hours and came out afterwards to meet and greet us, the fans, as she is always doing. She was kind and sweet as always. We really love her! Hopefully the next shows get better ticket sales. We will be seeing her again in a few days in another venue, in PA this time...
